You are saying there´s no proof they fought right? and yet you are also saying Danzo ganged up on him or used a sneak attack to take Shisui´s eye? as if there´s proof of that. Seems legit.

Truth is NO ONE really knows how it happened BUT regardless of that some people overrate Shisui too much by thinking he could one shot a lot of OP characters.Face it Madara was/is the strongest Uchiha so far(not talking about Edo Madara,regular EMS Madara) and Shisui was just a powerful Uchiha but not the best.Sasuke will most likely surpass Madara someday with some new powerup but as of now i think it is clear why Madara was the most famous Uchiha.

Danzo could of had a team with him and took Shisui's eye. I think Shisui would have took Danzo and beat the tar out of him if it was 1 on 1. Then Shisui would poke Danzo in the eye.

Itachi said in the manga that Danzo only stole one of his eyes, and he gave up one of his eyes to Itachi incase Danzo ever came back for the other eye...in doing this he wanted or asked Itachi to protect the Village by using his eye, and then after Shisui committed suicide and made it appear that he had crushed his eyes and then later no one knows how his body had disappeared, my bet is Itachi used his Amaterasu to erase Shisui body from anyone ever getting a hold of his DNA-the only conflict with this is he drowned, but anything is possible, maybe Itachi found his body and then erased it later on to prevent anyone from reviving him... Just a theory though..

Anyhow....They did not mention how Danzo stole Shisui's eye, but then at the same time Danzo him self was quite strong and almost that equal or the same strength as Jiraiya since they where rivals its safe to say that Danzo was capable of putting up a good fight against Shisui, but who's to say Danzo acted alone, he could have used or teamed up with his ambu root members and took the eye..another thing to take in consideration is that Shisui's eye's take a long time to charge for him to use his Kotoamatsukami.. So there's a lot of holes and questions to what exactly went on.

Honestly I think Shisui bartered for the lives of the Uchiha with Danzo for one of his eyes but was betrayed at he last minute this would go in line with Itachi's description of the type of man Shisui was.....
