[Predictions] Naruto Manga Chapter 621 Discussion and 622 Predictions

5/5, definitely. We all found out what the third sage mode is (though it's still yet to be fully explained), Hashirama and Madara reaffirm their own legends, and we find out that they not only admired each other, but were apparently close friends. Can't wait for next week

Hashirama was right: this world is always warring. The individuals on this forum that enjoy a chapter and the people that dislike it are constantly warring and trying to verbally one-up one another. I admit, I don't like really like seeing people complaining about the manga (though I don't mind people complaining about individual characters), but seeing as this is a discussion thread, complaints are part of discussion. I will just say, however, that no one here is the author of Naruto, and you could not make the story any better, because then it would stop being "Naruto." We as fans have biases/fantasies of what we would like to happen, but that doesn't make us editors or mangaka ourselves.

In terms of the chapter, I gave it a 4. I can appreciate people's concerns that the scale of power was ramped too high. At the same time we have to realize that these were the two strongest shinobi after the sage of the six paths. The end results of centuries of specialized breeding to preserve/augment bloodlines are Hashirama and Madara themselves. The ultimate eye techniques and the ultimate body techniques. Naturally, their techniques are on a scale beyond the regular ninja. The usage of shuriken, swords, exploding tags are made obsolete before their abilities. And I think this ties in well with Sasuke's "what are shinobi" question. Because then we ask ourselves, can these two men that are compared to gods even be considered "shinobi" anymore?

I don't advise comparing chapters and fights now to chapters and fights when the manga first came out. It is unfair to compare fights between genin, chuunin hopefuls, and jounin, to fights between the two avatars of the two concepts of the first "god of shinobi." And also, both of the main characters of this manga are the current avatars of their respective concept, and have displayed abilities accordingly. Naruto and Sasuke also forego fighting with shuriken and swords in serious fights in favor of Susanoo and Bijuu mode. It's the same concept. They are now going beyond the realm of "shinobi." Hashirama was apparently a sage, just like Naruto. His eyes changed color from black to gold, and he also gained the facial markings of a sage. That, and he said "senpou," which really leaves out any room for argument. It is not the same as Tsunade's mark, as her technique involves releasing a seal, whereas sage mode is a different form of fighting altogether.

Lastly, I was not too keen on the idea of Hashirama and Madara having met as children. Kishimoto could have used a less blatant way of showing that history is repeating itself. It's almost as if everyone within a relatively close age group knows everyone else within that group, which is absurd. But, this storyline does have some potential. I await to see where Kishimoto takes it.

This chapter was good, but I agree with most about it being too short, Kishi is doing a good job and wants Naruto to last awhile, he is making money off Naruto so why not drag it out and add things, and smart bussiness person would. He has alot with this arc to close out, Kabuto is still out there spaced out like he is on drugs, the Kages are all beaten down with tsunada cut in half trying to heal all them, Naruto and all the army is fighting the three amigos, and now the four kages explaining to the brat what he already knows, but needs a head shrink to get him on the right path, and now to beat everything, most are complaining cause they are getting what they have been asking for, for so long, the back story of possibly the greatest battle in Naruto history, with the two best shinobies (forgive the spelling, really tired and don't feel like spell checking)

Well put, plus rep on that, but as I stated before in my post, Kishi is giving what everyone has been wanting, the back story, he is making money off this so why not start off as when they were kids lol

Because that's what it said sage art and the only time that happens is when U are going into sage mode.
Now back to the chapter. I would like to know what was on madara's mind after he said I am on top and hashirama performed the shisuusenju and it came out bigger than what we have seen before, so big it makes kyuubi/susano look like an ant. It must have been a hell of a spanking they took from that statue

Money is not an issue for the guy. he is a millionaire.
The point is not it was too short because he just wants to make money. First there was a lot of action in this chapter so normally the chapter would look short.There isn't conversation going on so yeah, you go through the slides quicker. It was 17 pages, like the majority of other chapters.

Anyway, what I think that you guys who are complaining misunderstand, is that he is doing this for the sake of the story line. What would you prefer? Having shitty hasty chapter or taking your time to make a decent one? So don't blame people for nothing, especially kishi who has been creating a masterpiece for more than 10 years.

Holy ****, i cannot wait to see hashirama vs madara now! since madara has gotten a major power-up (Rinnegan) it will be nice to how they will compare now But if everyone remembers Naruto wants to be the strongest from the all kages, since the past 4 kages will be heading towards the battlefield, what is a better way of proving it when the 4 kages cannot beat madara, naruto will. << my prediction for the war.

btw Perfect Susanoo also dwarfs bijuus he just made it more effective by adding susanoo as an armour for kyuubi. Only way Hashirama would of been that was to release the seal binding kyuubi to madara.

These two guys are leagues above all others.

Since they have a relationship similiar to Naruto - Sasuke. maybe sasuke will soon be getting a power-up.

also Minato too had a toad sage mode, maybe tobirama & hiruzen also had a sage mode?

The giant statue that Hashirama created does not seem practical if he wants to use all of the arms at the same time. Rather, I believe that the arms are fast means to use mokuton jutsu, and the reason there are so many is because if one arm gets destroyed, another can be rotated to use, akin to a shark's teeth.

Im torn about this manga. All the time and effort that Iv put in.....
The way things are going its the same situation but different players.
Sasuke is tryn to justify the killing of people who dont know the truth.
the ones who know what happened are dead.
Revenge is never justified. he needs to move on and the right thing.
his clan was in the wong and the leaf leadership handled the issue very poorly.

Whats wrong with those people complaining abt flashbacks in flashbacks?cant you people think a lil bit and see that everything in those flashbacks are within the context of explaining what a shinobi is? How will Sasuke get an answer to his question if Hashirama doesnt go back to the origin of everything?Some people complain abt another Sasuke..Naruto story with Hashi and Madara...AND SO WHAT? dudes just quit babbling abt like spoiled kids and be patient to listen to the story to the end!!!!
