First thing, good thread! :y

Second, the thing about the Hidden Mist not participating in the war. I think it did take part, like everyone of the Great Five Countries, even if it was not shown. Why? Because of the story, it had to be concentrated on the battle between the Fire, Earth and Wind Nations. So Kishimoto couldn't have shown everything.

And the thing that Madara was in control of Hidden Mist, it's kind of shaggy for me, cuz there was never any connection between him and the village (I think). But him being control of Hidden Mist, which led to the destruction of the Hidden Whirlpool seems legit.

Third, I have to ask you, why don't you use the Spoiler Tag for the images?

Okies I will, and btw thanks for your meticulous timeline :)

Yes well the bloody mist of the mist village was known to make shinobis confused and turn on each other, maybe thats why Kakashi stabbed Rin with Chidori

Yeah.... But there was an ulterior motive... What if Rin knew of the destruction of the uzumaki village by the hidden mist and the most anbu had to get her she could spread the word??

Yes, that is also plausible, but, it would mean she was a spy of the Hidden Mist all that time and only had a change of heart in the end =/

It could have been a spying mission gone wrong... Look what happened to kabuto.…
More than likely, she wasn't a spy.... The village might have needed a new jinchuriiki. The third mizukage died young....
And madara would have wanted a ninja that would mean something to a village...

EDIT: if rin was a spy, she would have passed on the info to kakashi.... So likely no to being a spy...

Wait.... Madara was in control of the mist, he could have ordered the anbu to find and capture Rin.... Just to send obito off to awaken the MS....

Made a similar thread yesterday except I think the deflected TTB ****ed up the village and destroyed the village.
