Do not think you understand what i mean by fodder. By that i mean not so important, but yes not as powerful also. Seems like if you are not from that lineage or have no ties with them you are not important.
However you have to remember that whilst the sandaime and yondaime are not blood related they have ties with them.
Shodaime and nindaime were the teachers of sandaime. Also remember the scrolls that hashirama left behind, that is where hiruzen prolly learnt all those techniques and got the professor nickname.
Also remember minato's fighting style is heavy based on uzumaki fuinjutsu. Might not be blood related however he can use their just just as good as them i presume, therefore he has gotten stronger due to them. Also he is the main character (an uzumaki's) father

Lmao. Actually the younger generation surpassing the older generation is still viable its just that majority do not understand it. Majority here think that by that it means EVERY ninja will be like hashirama/madara, however that is not the case. The saying the younger generation will surpass the older has two meanings. You have to remember that hashirama/madara do not make up their generation. There are millions of others in their generation and i believe the current ninja have surpassed them. You can say the current fodders > previous fodders. The next meaning is that the ninja's that stand out in the current generation will surpass the those that stood out in the previous generation. So naruto/sasuke are destined to surpass hashirama/madara.
What is a bit hypocritical however is kishi allowing the hokage's to fight in the war. Kishi tried to stick to this theme when he let the current ninja's handle the previous elite ninja's. However he going backwards and calling on the previous generation (Hokage's) to aid the current generation, which will defeat the purpose.
He is also a hypocrite in the sense that in part 1 the whole premise of neji vs naruto if you elude the flashy moves there is a meaning which is that fate/destiny does not exist. However in part 2 we found out that naruto was the destined child. He and sasuke were destined to fight together, bla bla bla. Lmao kishi even added fortune tellers to the story line in the case of the great toad that can predict the future. It seems destiny/fate is true after all :sy:.
