My brother, Alex is 11. He's feeling really depressed and feels his life is pointless.

Can you please encourage him and make him feel better? I would really appreciate it, because I'm really upset that my brother is feeling like this.

You honestly think posting about it in a forum was my first thought?! Of course I'm trying to help him! I just needed some outside advice, as he never listens to me, I thought if he heard it from you guys, it would cheer him up a little!

A friend of his recently died, I don't know for sure, but I think that's what caused it.
