So ive been thinking that hashirama's new Sage-Mode is what madara was talking about when he said he had the ability to heal his injuries without hand signs.

i believe that the nature energy he takes in to convert to chakra is the same as tsunades ability to heal except instead of using his own chakra he uses nature energy.

as you can see here she heals her wounds using stored up chakra that constantly converts to healing but with hashirama it's because of his sage mode that he doesnt need hand signs or stored up chakra in the first place.

Look for the word Senpou....

I believe they both use more or less the same thing.
Tsunade could have been storing senjutsu chakra to the seal on her forehead, just as Oro has been storing his senjutsu chakra in curse seals. Tsunade calls her jutsu the Byakugo. Hashi didnt name his instant healing.
They both get the markings. Hashi less due to having better control over it probably, just as Jiraiya turned more toad than Naruto (cause Naruto has more control).

sage mode means senpou just like values said, you don't go throwing senpou around unless its a sage art tech. but as i said before it's just a thought.

thank you guys for the positive feedback, i don't normally post but this was really stuck in the back of my mind considering tsunade is a proper descendant of the senju clan. i thought it ironic that they bore the same markings and auto-heal ability but that it drains life force i.e. nature energy.

Another theory: thats why hashirama died! he died from the strain of using the auto-healing tech that drained years off his life?

i agree completely i believe tsunade had the potential to learn how to master such a technique but never had the will like naruto or jiraiya to train since she focused only on gambling :/ such a disappointing hokage she was
