Amaterasu burns slowly, just look at the Raikage his arm was set on fire and he kept fighting. A TBB is so big that Amaterasu won't burn through it before it hits its target.

Also it is a blast, while Amaterasu flames take some time to burn, remember when Sasuke used it on Bee? It took a while until he put them out, yet Bee was still alive.

Well the largest problem is burn rate. Amaterasu doesn't burn that fast (as seen when Sasuke could escape it). Flames even condensed in one place is still just a pile of burning mass, and wouldn't carry any significant mass (as fire burns oxygen in the air releasing mass from the point of the flames)

Now obviously this is a manga so Maybee creating dense pressure of flames is possible....if so then Maybee he can create enough inertia to stop the TBB, but it will explode in a mass of black flames before being completely burned away (IF it is burned away).

Naruto's speed is greater than Amaterasu's speed so he is entirely capable of dodging it (though probably not in BM...During which he'd probably revert to KM and dispel or cut off the burning chakra). KM Naruto and even BM Naruto (as a tailed beast afterall) probably have the raw strength to move earth or forest in order to counter Amaterasu by making it burn something other than where it was intended to burn, and thus cancelling out amaterasu's encirclement.


Interesting theory! It's probably a 50/50 though as so far it seems to have to stay in the palm of the hand after which Amaterasu disks are fired. Too soon to tell though.

wait so Amaterasu was able to be blocked by sand but it could destroy TBB? doesnt make much sense. but anyway at the speed that TBB goes it wouldnt hav time do much damage even if it could.

you must consider this though. There is no proof, that sasuke cant be burned by his amatersu flames. Only that he can control them. Also im pretty sure that amatersu, hasnt been shown to burn actual chakra, so naruto could just walk on stilts made from chakra arms. Or he could go tb mode. Yes, amatersu can inhibit people. But it isnt almighty. And it has ways to be extinguised.(shinra tensei, sealing it etc)

That was Enton. If it was Amaterasu Sasuke would have died because it costs too much chakra and he said that het had to guard himself with an enton.

if somehow the amaterasu ball is kept spinning like rasengan then once it connects with the target, even if it doesn't destroy the target like TBB(amaterasu are flames after all, their properties are different) the flames will spread around the target as well so overall end result is the same......perhaps much more deadly..

Amaterasu burned Sasuke's flames in his fight against Itachi. And those flames where made of chakra.

I dont think it would have the same power as TBB as TBB's explode whereas that Amaterasu orb sets things on fire.
He could probably use it like Hashirama uses the TBB in that page but if the two clashed the TBB would most likely win.
