they cant be the sons cause they didnt get along cause of what they believed was the right way to do things member one believed in power was the way the other believed in peace and love was the way so i dont think they are the sons of s06p

Actually, at the time of so6p, there were NO clans like uchiha and senju or uzumaki. Sage of six paths created ninjutsu, and hence, his successors, i.e, elder and younger sons.

After many generations, the clan of younger son is known as Senju today, and clan of elder son known as Uchiha, and its been made clear that Uzumaki's are distant relatives from senju, or a branch which came out from younger son's clan.

So, its better saying Uzumakis are part so6p, not so6p is uzumaki.

Clans aren't just shinobi based. You get something called a family clan too...
We have no proof that clans did not exist before the Sage, we only know the shinobi system didn't exist before the sage. So even if you argue against that, you don't have solid proof to back up your statement

Agreed, and it us a fact that there were other people living at that time because the Sage travelled and spread his teachings, how can you teach anyone if there weren't other people living during that time. So there has to have been families.

Since the Gold and Silver brothers were said to be related to the Sage of the Six Paths, it's very probable that the Sage of the Six Paths was an Uzumaki himself, their appearances resembling the reaper, becoming Kurama's pseudo-Jinchuuriki by eating its' flesh (and surviving) the use of the treasured tools, four of which are used together for sealing tech, even Rikudou Sennin was purported to have horn-like protrusions in his head:

They both are Uzumaki.Another clue the the direct resemblance naruto has to the sage when he goes bm(although this maybe because of plot) So since history seems to repeat itself in naruto and according to the info provided in this thread, the sage of 6 paths is Uzumaki till kishi says so.No ifs or buts.
