Hype essentially means Exaggerated or extravagant claims.Claims is something not yet officially recognized as fact.
So when you say hashirama is hype you have no idea what your talking about since what he has done has been clarified by madara himself.There is no "hype" We know for a fact the things he did actually took place. :sy:

Same for itachi as well.If someone can vouch for you then its not hype its fact people especially when it comes from a hokage.

Other than that, Hashirama. It is stated that he's above the likes of DSM Kabuto, Obito, BM Naruto, and EMS Sasuke. It is also stated that the Five Kage's combined efforts are nothing compared to him, twice. Stated that he could control biju. Stated that he did have control over multiple biju at the same time. Called the "ultimate shinobi" by the likes of Edo Madara, and you know what that means. Stated to make Tsunade's medical ninjutsu look like nothing, and Tsunade even agreed; he's at least tied with her byakugou. Even when all of the other Hokage (excluding Tsunade) are present, it is he who is referred to as the God of Shinobi.

Itachi: He pretty much defies everything, even in death he managed to still be a hero in some way.

Madara: He has been just kicking everyone's ass since his appearance. Not even a breaking a sweat.
