When it comes right down to it - a person or corporation with more capital has an unfair advantage in almost every area where purchasing power is a factor.
That is kind of why people seek greater capital income/reserves - to have that advantage.
Honestly, I find myself rather unmoved by advertising campaigns, in general. All I have to do is look at what a politician says he/she is for and what their record is, and I get a pretty good feeling of whether or not I want that person in office. Lately - I've found that the mud-slinging just has no effect on me, as I don't really care to see either candidate in office.
Of course, I'm also a fairly intelligent individual if various tests and testimoies of people are to be believed. So that might have something to do with it, also.
