calm down bro, i always see people post some unrelated questions, i was just wonderin.
I was just messing with you, but in all honestly don't post non-site related stuff here. Just because you see someone about to jump off a cliff doesn't mean you will too, does it?

Good anime? I for one would say it's easily one of the best animes of all time.

Clannad is, by far, the best romance anime I have ever seen. The characters are realistic, the development is very well done, the story is compelling, and everything about it is just amazing. It's a really sweet story that follows the ups and downs of the characters and really makes you love them. It has some supernatural elements, but for the most part it's pretty realistic and you can very much relate to the struggles and traumas of the characters. Clannad has two seasons: Clannad and Clannad ~After Story~. Both are masterpieces but After Story is really the best part of the series. After Story starts off mostly like the first season, but about 2/3 in the really emotional moments start setting in and it becomes one of the most touching, meaningful stories I have ever come across. After Story is incredibly emotional, and definitely one of the saddest stories I have ever encountered. But it's not just a stupid cryingfest and it really does have some deep messages.

In short, go watch it as soon as possible. The only two anime I have ever been more attached to are Gurren Lagann and Code Geass, and for vastly different reasons than Clannad.

One day I decided to torture myself out of pure curiosity, I did that by marathoning the Clannad franchise in a single day. To put it simply, you'd have to be a bitch to cry because of this show. No offense to all ye' bitches out there. Never in my life have I seen such a blatant shitty attempt at creating heartwrenching moments. This anime is a disgrace to the word tragedy, disgrace to the word delinquent, and a disgrace to the word romance.

I would have to disagree completely.

In all honesty it's almost impossible for me to find something objectively bad about Clannad. The characters are very well developed and I don't dislike any of them, even if someone doesn't like the characters one can't say that any of the characters are "bad." They all have good depth to them and have their own very compelling stories.

What's so bad about it? I personally would say that Clannad is the most emotional anime I have ever come across. Angel Beats and Anohana come very close but Clannad pulled my heartstrings more than any other. The struggles and feelings of the characters were very real (though some story elements leaned toward the supernatural side) and some of the issues they faced really hit close to home. The tragedies of the story had a huge impact and really established the essence of the story and how life can be incredibly hard at times. Tomoya may not be a brainless thug like the typical delinquent image suggests, but I don't see what makes this "disgrace" you speak of. Tomoya had family issues, he stopped caring about a world that he felt had no use to him, and regressed as a result.

But worst of all, how in the world is this a "disgrace to romance?" The bond between Tomoya and Nagisa was very realistic and how they got close to each other and came to care about each other was a very sweet story and it was hardly a "bad" romance story. It's not like some romanticized Sword Art Online junk where two people who randomly meet fall in love with each other very suddenly and then decide that for some reason they love each other enough to sacrifice their lives. It's not like the average Shounen story where the protagonist is so absolutely dense that they fail to sense the advances of the girls who like him, and yet said protagonist might even end up with that girl in the end even though nothing suggests it at all.

Better question though: What do you think is a good romance? I'm hard pressed to find anything that surpasses Clannad in this factor. I think it's very closed-minded to say that anyone who cries from watching Clannad is a bitch, and apparently a lot of anime watchers must be bitches if After Story is ranked #5 on MyAnimeList.
