I make my way to the training grounds, a wide and open field with several training dummies and other tools interspersed within its borders. As I approach I see a figure already waiting my arrival.

Hmm....that must be him. He's an early bird.

I reach my student and look him over.

Hi there, I'm Typhon, and I'll be your own personal Sensei for the foreseeable future. Why don't you tell me a bit about yourself.

"Hey, sensei!"

"He wants to know a little about me, huh? It's only natural, I suppose. I mean, we will be working together extensively in the future, and he's already introduced himself to me, so courtesy dictates that I return the favor and ... "

I stop just before getting caught up in my thoughts, and turn my attention back to you. A bit more serious, I respond:

"A little about myself? Well, in terms of what I hope to achieve, it isn't anything like "NB fame," but just to enjoy my time here and hope others reciprocate the feeling; Just yesterday, I was discussing the RP back in the day with an old timer. We agreed that if nothing else, people were more gung-ho back in the day, and if we could bring that spirit to the battle arena, things would probably be enjoyable for everyone."

"My short term goal is to fight you after training and hopefully put up a half decent fight; As far as personal interests go, I have too many to list >_o"

I listen attentively at first, but seem to trail of towards the end. My eyes follow a fly buzzing around your head. In a quick flash I reach out and catch the fly between my thumb and index finger.

Gotcha! Huh? Oh....sorry. I got...erm...distracted. >.>

So you want to fight me, eh? Alright. Lets see what you got. Can't build on something if we don't know where to start, right?

I hop back a couple of feet and get in a balanced stance, left foot forward and arms hanging at my sides.

While caught off guard by your sudden declaration, my expression becomes more enthusiastic.

Haha, I agree.

*I assume a basic stance with my left foot in front of the right, both pointed a few degrees to my right. My knees are slightly bent while my upper body is facing you. I hold my arms up to frame my face as if I was getting ready to box. I inch my way towards you, and then, starting off simple, I kick, thrusting my left heel into your sternum while leaning my upper body back and thrusting my hips forward.*

Hopefully, I didn't just dig my own grave Lol

I twist to my left turning my body sideways and allow your kick to pass in front of my body. I lift my left leg and drive the flat of my foot into the kneecap of your planted right leg, looking to hyper-extend the joint. The buckling of your knee causes you to stumble, and as you do I plant on my left foot and swing my right leg up in an arc towards the left side of your face.

As you twist your body to your left, I pivot on the ball of my right foot to my right, while tucking my left leg back into my body in such a way that my knee protrudes out. The movements are done simultaneously, and in such a way that I can block your kick and absorb the blow with the side of my left leg. I maintain my balance and stand firm by focusing chakra to the base of my right foot and holding myself to the ground. After pivoting, I slide my left arm out of its tucked position and, supported by my right arm for additional power, I drive my left elbow into your nose. The force of the blow should be enough to knock you back a few steps, and blur your vision may become blurry due to the amount of blood passing through your eyes.

Should I be successful thus-far, taking advantage of this moment, I'll pivot back to the left and out of my position, performing a fast spinning back kick, where I drive my left heel into your left arm. The kick is focused around your radial nerve, and the impact should cause paralysis of your left arm.

*Blocks your attacks and hops back*

That's enough of that I suppose. Good. :p

Now lets move on to basic ninjutsu.

Explain to me what you know of ninjutsu, how its formed, what its uses are, etc.

Now lets move on to basic ninjutsu.

Explain to me what you know of ninjutsu, how its formed, what its uses are, etc.
Ninjutsu is a broad term that refers to use of techniques that generally allow us to do things that, for the most part, would otherwise be considered impossible. Most ninjutsu require the use of chakra, and different kinds of chakra control (e.g. most jutsu take on a specific shape, so shape transformation, a form of chakra control, allows one to give their jutsu the desired form and potentcy). Some ninjutsu require the use of handseals in order to more accurately mould, release and utilize chakra. Some other forms of ninjutsu don't require chakra, however, like those that involve the usage of weapons in one or more unique ways (e.g. The shadow shuriken technique). Besides this, there is also basic elemental ninjutsu. Elemenal ninjutsu involves using chakra control to employ nature transformation and alter the physical properties of our chakra to match one of the elements.

On top of basic ninjutsu, there also exists Kinjutsu, techniques that are generally forbidden from being taught for varying reasons, with one thing in common; There is always a drawback or condition that must be met for them to be used successfully. In the case of the Eight Inner Gates, once opened, deteriorate physical health exponentially depending on how many have been opened, how long they've been open, and how experienced a given practitioner is. In the case of Izanagi and Izanami, not only does it require one to be a descendant of the Sage of Six Paths, but the eye that is used to cast the Genjutsu will be sealed away and lose its light forever.
-----------
I could also go on to talk about different types of chakra, and what abilities they grant respectively, if you want o_o

Hmm....very good. ^^

This should be easy if you keep it up.

Since you're just starting out training, lets start with chakra control. Using chakra control we can do complex things, like the ninjutsu you described, or do some more basic, yet very helpful things. For this first drill you'll need to focus chakra to your feet and use that chakra to cling to a surface. This not only helps you steady yourself, but also allows you to walk or climb on surfaces you normally wouldn't be able to.

Using this concept, run up the trunk of that tree over there.

Hmm ... o_o

*Turn s T.V. on > Free On Demand > Entertainment > Adult Swim > Naruto*

*I begin by taking a brief moment to focus and pool my chakra to the soles of my feet, and then, as instructed, I approach the tree. I get a good running start and begin to jog up the trunk of the tree. The running start gets me a few steps up, but my success is short lived when I tumble back down - The reason being that I was too timid and didn't focus enough of my chakra. Upset and embarrassed, I get back up and dust my self off at the foot of the tree.*

*Getting ready for my second attempt, I psyche myself up and focus more of my chakra to the base of my feet. I get a good running start once again and jog up against the tree, making it a little farther this time. Having been a little too over-zealous though, the force of my chakra against the bark actually serves to crush the wood and push me away, as opposed to holding me down. And for the second time, i tumble down.*

*I stand up again and get ready for the third attempt; I focus chakra to the soles of my feet, adjusting it to be more than I used the first time around, but less than my most recent attempt. Remembering the Leaf Concentration Practice taught to students at the academy, I focus on maintaining the utmost control. And then, I rush towards the tree, running up the trunk, controlling my breathing, and maintain an all around calm, focused state of mind. Fnially successful, I sit stop a sturdy tree branch, waiting for your take on my performance.*

Next, water walking!

Using this same concept, focus chakra to your feet to keep yourself from falling into the water.

*Points at the pond over yonder*
*As instructed, I run back down the trunk of the tree and approach the designated pond, focusing chakra to the soles of my feet as I did previously. I step out onto the surface of the water, maintaining a level head and a steady stream of chakra, while making my way across the surface of the pond as fast and efficiently as possible; Soon enough, however, I lose control and fall into the shallow water. Learning from experience, water is constantly changing, shifting and moving, so it requires that one constantly adjust the amount of chakra emitted - And so, I get back up and try again. Standing on the surface of the lake, I practice adjusting the levels of the chakra I emit in order to remain stationary on the surface for an extended period of time. Once I've got that down pat, I begin to walk along the surface of the water, taking it just a step further. I still fall, occasionally, but continue to practice for near half an hour before I've got water walking down.*

Obviously you already have the E-rank techniques by default, so we'll get started with D-ranks.

Now, most of these are pretty self explanatory. So going through each of them one by one may be a bit of a waste of time. So what I'll do is post four of them at a time and I want you to tell me a strength and weakness of each, what is needed to preform the technique and a situation where that technique would be good to use.

Here's the first batch:

(Fukumi Hari) - Hidden Needles
Rank: D
Type:Attack
Range:Short
Chakra Cost:10
Damage Points:20
Description: The user is able to call forth needles into their mouth and then spit them at their opponent with great accuracy.

(Kage Shuriken no Jutsu) - Shadow Shuriken Technique
Rank: D
Type:Attack
Range:Short-Mid
Chakra Cost:15
Damage Points:20
Description: Kage Shuriken no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing a giant Windmill Shuriken. When throwing the shuriken, the ninja will also throw a second giant shuriken to hide in the shadow of the first. The hidden secondary shuriken can then approach the target without their being aware.

(Ninpou: Gekka Bijin) - Ninja Arts: Beauty Under the Moonlight
Rank: D
Type:Supplementary
Range:Short
Chakra Cost:10
Damage Points:N/A
Description: The user will create a swarm of sakura(cherry blossoms)petals to surround there opponents and swirl around them causing confusion. The user can then attack there opponent from any angle they choose.Blinds opponents eyes for the turn this jutsu is used.

(Sakura Fubuki no Jutsu) - Cherry Blossom Snow Storm Technique
Rank: D
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: 20
Description: The user will hurl kunai with pouches attached at their target. Upon impact, the pouches explode, releasing small explosive notes. Due to the large number of kunai thrown, a shower of notes will rain down on the target. The user will then throw one final kunai with an active explosive note at the target. It will begin to burn, and by igniting the falling smaller notes it will cause a gigantic explosion.

So what I'll do is post four of them at a time and I want you to tell me a strength and weakness of each, what is needed to preform the technique and a situation where that technique would be good to use.

Here's the first batch:
Yosh

The (Fukumi Hari) - Hidden Needles technique allows one to spit senbon with high accuracy; The technique's weakness probably lies in the fact that this technique doesn't possess much offensive power, and is incapable of causing any substantial (or even immediately noticeable) damage. The strong point of this technique probably rests within its accuracy; With high precision, a user can spit the needles in such a way, striking specific points in order to completely disable the use of a limb, or even put an enemy into a temporary death like state - albeit, it would require prior knowledge of the body's weak and vulnerable points. If one was given a mission, for example, to capture an enemy "alive," you could put them into a pseudo-death state to make it easier to recover the body.

------

The (Kage Shuriken no Jutsu) - Shadow Shuriken Technique tossing two demon wind shuriken, with the second shuriken being concealed within the shadow of the first. The weakness of this technique lies within the time it takes to unfold the shuriken, as demon wind shuriken customarily require you do so before use. Although brief, it provides an opening that any skilled opponent can take advantage of. The strength of this technique rests within its inherit deception; It appears as if only a single shuriken is approaching the enemy, so, should they avoid or defend against the first, the second will follow soon and can catch the opponent off guard. One situation in which this technique could be used is to evoke a certain reaction and immediately launch a follow up counter attack. (e.g. you expect the opponent to knock the first shuriken away, only to avoid the second shuriken at the last possible second - When they avoid, you use a Wind Release jutsu to suddenly alter the path the shuriken takes and unexpectedly cut the opponent up).

------

The (Ninpou: Gekka Bijin) - Ninja Arts: Beauty Under the Moonlight allows one to temporarily obscure the opponent's eyesight using sakura petals, and take advantage of the brief moment to attack. This techniques weakness probably lies in the fact that it isn't entirely "believable" and is a bit shallow - An experienced ninja could probably easily see through the distraction, since sakura petals don't ordinarily surround you in such an inconvenient way. The technique's strength lines up with the weakness - While the weakness could be considered 'the nature of the distraction,' the strength would be the distraction itself. A user of this technique could take advantage of the moment their vision is blocked. This technique can be used when fighting an opponent with a weapon, barehanded. Using this technique to temporarily blind them, one could take advantage of the moment and strike from a blind spot.

------

The weakness within the (Sakura Fubuki no Jutsu) - Cherry Blossom Snow Storm Technique probably lies within the setup - throwing several kunai aimed around the opponent, before throwing the final one that acts as a trigger for the explosive tags; A more skilled opponent could probably work their way around getting caught in the explosion, or, use the explosion to their advantage (Using the smoke as a cover and launching a counter attack, e.g. going underground and re-emerging at the ideal location). The strength of this technique lies within the strength and overall range of the explosion. One situation in which this technique could be used is if the opponent had been previously restrained through some means, making them the ideal target.

Again, very well done. There's really nothing I can add to those. :p

Here are the next two:

(Kanashibari no Jutsu) - Temporary Body Paralysis Technique
Rank: D
Type:Supplementary
Range:Short-Mid
Chakra:15 (-5 per turn)
Damge Points:N/A
Description: Kanashibari no Jutsu is a simple Ninjutsu technique used to temporarily bind an animal (or animals). With the target frozen in place, the ninja can either take the opportunity to attack or to retreat. It can only be used against animal (summons or not) and works by forcefully using your chakra to restrain the summon physically by holding it in place. It can, however, be broken by outside means or brute force, making it less effective against bigger summons like boss summons or similar.
Note: lasts only as long as the user is focusing on the target to sustain it.

(Sakki) - Killing Intent
Rank: D - S
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: N/A
Damage points: N/A
Description: Killing Intent pertains to the ability of the user giving off their pure killing intention and having it affect their opponent and others around them up to the point of paralyzing them. When the Killing Intent is particularly strong, it can even give the victim visions of their own gruesome death, nausea, pain, etc. This can cause the Killing Intent to be confused with a genjutsu, despite not being a genjutsu at all; simply a showcase of intention and power. The target will feel as if facing an overwhelming enemy and, even if not a sensor, will suddenly feel the pressure of the users chakra and its magnitude, making the effect that much more dramatic. To effectively be used, the user needs to focus on his target and concentrate on the killing intent towards it, meaning that one must see the target and be focused on it. The strength of the Killing Intent is dependent on many factors and go through several levels. If a difference in rank smaller than 2 ranks exist, the enemy will feel only the pressure and the ominous presence of their dark intentions. Its enough to lose your grasp on a weapon or stay clinched to it (depending on the situation) or even to hesitate in an attack, stumble or mess up a handseal, all depending on the situation and proximity. The effect is small and normally not that significant but can be effectively used to pressure enemies into making a mistake. If a difference of 2 ranks or more exist, the enemy will be frozen, almost unable to move as the overwhelming killing intent dominates their own conscious and riddles them with nightmarish versions of death. The paralyzation gradually weakens as time passes and can only be maintained while the user is focused on the target. The further away the target, the weaker it is and it can only fully paralyze a target within short range. Similarly, the more targets one focuses on, the weaker the effect is in each one (divinding the effects equally between the number of targets). Lastly, the stronger the user is in relation to the target, the stronger the effect will be. The target can counter Killing Intent directed at it through pain, "mind cleansing" techniques or their own Killing Intent.
Note: Intensity of technique depends on the rank of the user, distance to target and number of targets one is focusing on
Note: Can only be used once
Note: Lasts only while the user is focusing on it and while focusing on it the user can't mold chakra

These can be a little tricky. They used to have a much more vague description which often led to confusion and misuse in our RP, but they've since been re-vamped to be more clear.

I want you to do the same as you just did, but also describe how someone would go about defending against both.
