Well, they base it on Zetsus's statement in 606:

You must be registered for see images

They interpreted "lineage" to mean descendant, meaning their interpretation is that the Uzumakis were descendants of the Senjus main family tree, however this is not true:

ah i see! but yeah being blood relatives means they're related by blood not that the Uzumakis were once apart of the Senju and then branched off and created a new clan. Eh we'll just have to wait till Kishi clears this up.

One thing people never take into account is The SO6P could have had Bothers sisters, Uncles and Cousins,All who would be distant blood relatives to both Senju and Uchiha. But you somehow go from the Sage passing down a sealing jutsu for the tailed beasts to the Uzimaki also using a sealing jutsu for the tailed beast. But There are more than 1 tailed beast and several sealing techniques for them including the RDS which is the most powerful.

Your theory is probably ill give you that much, ill even go as far as to say it is likely, but i cant say for certain because of the leap mention earlier.

Well the RDS was not specifically made by the Uzumakis to seal Bijuus but rather to seal enemy souls, Minato only used it at the time because he was left with no other option but to use Shikii Fujiin on Kyuubi to seal the Yang Kyuubi inside baby Naruto.

If you remember the history of the founding of the Shinobi Villages, it was Hashirama who tamed the bijuus and distributed them to the Shinobi Villages to maintain the balance of power, each village had a different variant of the sealing technique used by the Sage (eg. Killer B's Iron Armor Seal and Naruto's Eight Triagrams) but, the method and process of the sealing itself originated from Rikudou Sennin and the process remained the same despite the variation on the type of seal used, and since Kurama recognized Rikudou Sennin's own sealing jutsu when Naruto and Kushina took his chakra, then it definitely means that not only the type of seal, but the very method and process of creating the seal of the Jinchuuriki originated from the Uzumakis since Kushina claimed that not only the type of seal, but the jutsu or the Fūinjutsu itself was developed by their clan

Think about it: if the Uzumaki Jinchuuriki seal was merely a variant of the common jinchuuriki seal that was used by the other villages, then why did Kushina mention that not only was Naruto's seal original but the jutsu itself was originally developed by their clan:

Kushina: "The Tetragram Seal on your belly was based on a Jutsu originally developed by my village."

Meaning Naruto's type of Seal (Tetragram Seal) had the basis of the seal from (The jutsu of the seal itself) the creation the Uzumaki Clan

Meaning the type of seal (The Tetragram Seal ) was based on the jutsu that was originally developed by the Uzumakis, and since Rikudou Sennin, was the one who originated that jutsu and in conjunction with Kushina's statement, then it only logically follows that Rikudou himself was an Uzumaki Ancestor.

That is the idea yes. that's why Madara gave the Rinnegan to Nagato to further awaken the Rinnegan's power.

Not only was the S06P related to the Uzumakis, he was most probably an ancestor Uzumaki himself. Don't you see some similarities to BM and S06P?
