Why Nagato is superior to Itachi

Well, after some thoughts, I have to say Nagato is superior than Itachi
It's not because you saw edo itacih beating nagato (with a lot help), that he's better, it's just the plot, he would make ruin the story if itachi lost , so as you can see, just plot ​

I admire Amaterasu, but it won't work against the Nagato or six paths of Pain. For this I'll go with the six paths of pain.

-Amaterasu is a close combat technique, so the sixth paths just had to keep the distance and a mini shinra tensei stops it, and the summoning six paths would bring many, while itachi would try to do the amaterasu to them th others wouldn't jutsu stand and watch.....

-Genjutsu will not work, 7 pair of eyes are there (including nagato's).

-Susano uses a lot chakra and wouldn't last forever. And that sword can't be always used, and again, the others wouldn't stand and watch. The ribcage is also breakable

-The gravity ball jutsu nagato uses wouldn't be broken by Itachi himself. Susano would be gone with a powerful shinra tensei, also the reverse technique would pull itachi close to him, and suck his soul, one of the pains absorbs all jutsus including chakra itself... And there is so much more Six Paths of Pain would do to Itachi, damnnnn!

I also really like Itachi, but the truth has to be accepted

Nagato should be placed higher than Itachi in the rankings because Nagato is stronger. There is no dispute about that, but Itachi is a better ninja, he's more intelligent and posses more skill and natural talent.

A mobile Nagato will probably overwhelm Itachi with all of his overpowered Rinnegan techniques. Nagato wins 6 or 7 times out of 10.

No offense but your proof is terrible... you based how nagato wins just from what the six paths of pain can do. Look theyre both very different match ups and although Nagato has more power himself with the rinnegan techniques it would be harder for Itachi to defeat the six paths of pain just because of numbers.. Nagato is immobile too which gives Itachi an advantage.. Keep in my mind that Nagato was an edo and if it wasn't for that it wouldve been over once Itachi used Amaterasu and remember dont blame it on Kabuto because he didnt fully control him at that point of time. Nagato was on auto pilot and it was stated that they automatically react to any attack and counter with the appropriate method.. Nagato couldnt even though he can sense amaterasu.. Also when Itachi when to save bee and naruto he wasnt stupid to attack Nagato without 1st destroying the vision of Nagato's summons to make the field of vision useless and while he saved bee and naruto he ripped Nagatos arm off with the susanoo hand in the process and if he wasnt edo NO CT After that I admit he got help but it was only thanks to edo tensei that Nagato stayed alive long enough to use C. I also like to bring up the point that Nagato couldnt react to the Totsuka Blade and therefore he ended up getting sealed. Now if youre going to bring Kabuto and the Itachi fight just don't... These are different fights because Itachi had to prep izanami and had to be on defense most of the time and couldnt risk killing Kabuto not to mention the fact that kabuto had the location advantage besides Itachi only got killed twice in that fight one from saving sasuke and when he finally activated izanami the rest was just genjustu and was repeats of the fight. Nagato and Itachi went at it with the intent to kill. So theyre both different situations.. As for the Shinra Tensei yes I think it would probably destroy Itachi's Susanoo but it would end up protecting him. If hinata, sakura, and many other ninjas survived the large scale shinra tensei then I'm pretty sure Itachi can with Susanoo. So I conclude he can most likely beat Nagato because he is just one person who is immobile but most likely lose to the Six Paths of Pain just because he lacks the Chakra and Stamina to defeat them all. But if we saw an Itachi whose healthy then idk it might be different after all even when Itachi was sick he was able to outlast Sasuke in their fight. So I believe Itachi>=Nagato with Itachi maybe 6/10? But Itachi most likely losing to the Six Paths of pain most times since we really havent seen a healthy Itachi. Keep in mind that I am an Itachi fan but I'm not a fanboy by any means.. I know Itachi's limits.

They survived Shinra Tensei, because of Tsunade jutsu mate!! And I mean Nagato in his prime which is with the six paths of pain..... Nagato vs Itachi themselves would be more close

Yeah but also keep in mind that Nagato with the Six Paths of Pain wouldnt go that far just to defeat one person.. I doubt he'd strain himself by using The Large Scale Shinra tensei to defeat Itachi.. He only used it to destroy the Village and it hasn't been used since. Same goes for CT Nagato isnt going to hurt himself and go that far just to kill one person. Madara only used the Meteors against the shinobi alliance too. These Rinnegan techniques are good for fighting large scale destruction and against alot of enemies but these techniques were used when fighting alot of people. Exception when Naruto was going crazy mad when Pain stabbed Hinata and when he was fighting three top tier ninja iatchi, naruto, and bee but i already explained that fight in my previous post.. Like I said Itachi vs Nagato Itachi comes out on top with alot of difficulty maybe losing at times it would be close and can go either way but Nagato is one person and is immobile which is much easier than fighting 6 dead bodies that dont feel pain. Itachi would most likely lose that match up just because of Chakra and Stamina but hey if Itachi was healthy that'd be a different story but we'll never know.

edit: keep in mind that yes the slugs helped out people but it didnt for everybody some people had broken legs and others were fine. So Im pretty sure Final Susanoo with the shield can defend and even if it is broken it would still end up saving Itachi but like I said I dont think alive nagato with six paths of pain would strain himself that far to kill one person and if Itachi survived Deva Path would lose his powers and Itachi would probably come out victorious in that scenario because the strongest path doesnt have his powers
