Since Naruto is pretty much the new generation of Hashirama as Sasuke is to Madara(we will know after his conversation), Naruto needs something unique to himself besides rasin-shuriken. Basically Naruto's clones are on the same scale as Hashirama's mokuton. Not in terms of power just utilization then again Naruto has made clones of a great mass. So shouldn't Naruto have clones that do different things. Like an exploding clone, a water clone or a clone that casts genjutsu on impact(would be perfect for naruto since he always gets caught in them).

The kyuubi abilities are not of Naruto's own ability. It was given which means not naturally his own. Shadow clones should damn near be just Naruto's since he is known to be the only ninja to make as many as he can and utilize them.

He is only 16 so he is still learning. I am sure he will learn a few more tricks before the series is over.

I remember watching part 1 when Sasuke learnt chidori, thinking WOAH something not fire and not sharingan. BADASS.
Likewise when naruto learnt Rasengan, it was like WOAHH SOMETHING OTHER THAN GOING RAGE MODE KYUUBI or shadow clones.

Now they both spam different versions of the same technique. Kirin was a bit of something new. Mangekyou was a change, but now that's spammed by pretty much every Uchiha we've met, despite it originally being thought of as 'rare'.

Rasenshuriken wasn't really anything new, just a development on rasengan. Then he got all his modes, sage mode so he could actually use rasenshuriken, then kyuubi mode then bijuu mode. Meh, they're all good but it's all so boring..

They need some new shit, seriously. Madara pulls all these different things out of his arse, in quick succession which is why he appears so badass. It's so booooring. New techs please.
