For me.......these two pages made a GREAT manga chapter:

This is what I look forward to.
Fancy jutsu's, big fights and strong characters are all okay, they appeal to the majority because most people only care about powers and who beats who and who is stronger than the other. That's all fine, but it has 0 depth, though it does have it's place in the story. I enjoy that stuff as well, but I do not over look what is truly important.
If this is what you really like, how is it you don't like One piece? There are amazing speeches in OP just like the examples you gave.

OT: I agree mostly. Anything that helps develop the plot is good. what you said helps the plot develop and it is very important to the story. Although I agree, I don't agree with the timing they are put in the manga. A good example was when the Kabuto flash backs happened. They happened right in the middle of a fight. MANY hated this. They were needed but it was done right in the middle of the action. I don't agree with it being at the end like many said, it just could of been handled better. You get what I'm saying right? Fights are also good because it developing the plot. Like the Pain vs Naruto fight. They finally beat the bad guy, and got satisfaction for the death of his sensei. Like I said before, anything that helps the plot move and doesn't make it feel like it is being dragged out is good, weather it be an epic speech or a good fight.
