[Discussion] Girlfriends and friendships

Girlfriends ruin friendships. My friend got a girlfriend a couple of months ago, and this is his first girlfriend. Now I barely see him anymore. I've literally been friends with him almost all my life, and now he's ditching me, the rest of his friends and his younger brother to be with her, breaking promises along the way.

I'm not blaming everything on the girl. The guy has to make a stand himself. He is the one who needs to prioritize whether he wants to keep his friends or not

This nearly happened with me as well, but I did all I could to make sure it didn't happen. That wasn't the best of relationships though


Why do guys always do this? And give me a bigger reason than ***

Edit: I think people are getting the wrong impression here. This is the only friend I have a chance to see these days. It's fine if all he wants to do is hang out with his girlfriend, but when he breaks promises, that pisses me off, especially when he does it to his little brother who has all sorts issues and loves to hang out with his brother.

I think you're generalizing. When I was single, I had plenty of friends that were in relationships, and it never caused problems. Since I've been in a relationship, it hasn't been an issue with any of my single friends.

but once u are inlove all u can and wanna do is talk to her
she becomes your center (the sun) while everybody else becomes the planet

but they always go back to their friends (I did)
idc what nobody say.. a guy thats inlove very little balances out friends and gf perfectly. its life man =/

Yeah, it's a hard thing to balance out, and the girlfriend will come first, but that doesn't mean you can discard your friends and family though

i know ..it happen to me to i did it aswell , but that wasnt what i was trying to say ...its his first girlfriend of curse the guy is gonna be with her ....more then his pals ....

but the OP should talk to him or something that what my friends did with me ..i was letting them down everytime ...for the girl , until i realize it wasnt cool ....balance has to be found ..its hard , but its there ....
