Possible. That's a good theory. Nakano might also be a general name, you know, but I'm rooting for it to be the Rikudou's name.

The sig of yours is awesome xD

Nakano: The name literally means, Central Field:shrug:

Japanese history of the name Nakano:

The meaning of Nakano may come from a craft, such as the name "Bishop" which may have been taken by church officials. A lot of these profession-based last names can be a profession in a different language. For this reason it is important to know the ethnicity of a name, and the languages spoken by it's ancestors. Many names like Nakano originate from religious texts such as the Bhagavadgītā, the Bible, the Quran, and so forth. Often these surnames relate to a religious phrase such as "From the ash tree".

The above^ means, that the name has been likened to preachers of a religious faith! This is a solid connection to the Sage of the Six Paths, who has been likened to a priest or monk who preached Ninshu to the world!

Nice theory and good points

But if Nakono is SO6P then why would Uchiha decendent name the shrine after him ??

since they were betrayed because instead of elder son SO6P chose younger son
may be it may be the elder sons name IMO not sure

But great work

The Sage created the tablet and inscribed the words on it. The tablet was kept in a shrine. The shrine was named, The Nakano Shrine! Make sense?

How do you know he there is also a river named "Nakano"?
Did they mention it at the Manga or does such a river really exist at Japan?

From my knowledge about the Japanese language I think the word Nakano has the meaning of a place.
"No" is probably the letter for "uncultivated field". (There is for example a district at Tokyo called Nakano, or the Nagano Prefecture.)
In this case it could maybe also be a family name, or the name of a clan.
(Japanese family names often hide the meaning of places, like Kishimoto, too. xd)

But I doubt it is a given name (of the Sage or somebody else).

But that the Sage has some relation to the shrine is another story. :)

Yeah, Shisui drowned himself in it. Also, go to the page before this one and read about the name's history in Japan. It is related to preachers of a religious faith, the Sage was a monk who preached Ninshu to the world. It is more than likely it's his name.

Uzumaki Nakano, Uzumaki Naruto and Uzumaki Nagato have tons of correlation between them.

There is absolutely no correlation in that. You can't have a notion of correlation with names, merely coincidence.

The names do, and so do the attributes of people that have them. What coincidence? lol Nothing in Naruto is coincidence.

Correlation involves the likelihood that something can be said to have caused or have been caused by another event. It makes no sense to say a name is correlated with another, because names aren't events that can be caused by or caused from one another.

"Today is hot, so I went buy some ice cream" shows a mild correlation between high heat and desire for something cold and sweet, because there can be some logical reason as to why I wanted that ice cream to begin with.

Might have just been some explorer who named the river after himself. The shrine, is named after the river.
