I mean, Hashirama is WAYYY stronger than the other Hokages. It's not funny. He could actually probably solo them if he were to use Mokuton clones.
Did Kishi make him so beast because he was the FIRST Hokage and founded Konoha? Those are pretty big deals.

George Washington - First U.S. president - Best president.
Goku - First Super Saiyan - Strongest Saiyan. (Debatable against Broly)
Vongola Primo (Guy in my avy and sig)- First Vongola boss - Strongest Vongola boss.

Not always but in a lot of cases the first or the original is the best.In anime and manga it is almost always a very big deal and it´w quite common for that to happen.So yeah that is most likely the reason Kishimoto made The First Hokage so insanely overpowered and that is why everyone(Bad guys) who want more power go looking for his DNA.

Just one more thing, Goku wasn´t the first super saiyan...No one really knows who the first was BUT Vegeta knew about the Legendary Super Saiyan waaaaaaaaay before even meeting Goku. So did Freeza that´s why he destroyed the Saiyan planet (He feared one day the super saiyan would appear).

Plus Broly and Goku are the same age AND Broly obtained his Legendary Super Saiyan transformation when he was a teen(something Goku didn´t do until he was a young man). And in my opinion Broly was the strongest super saiyan as it is said his power keeps raising after he transforms, so in theory the longer it takes for someone to fight him the stronger he becomes.He was defeated by plot and a bunch of strong people ganging up on him.

But in the end with Broly finally dead no one comes close to Goku by the end of the show.
