How do I get GAP to work with Gimp 2.8? Because when I've downloaded it, it doesn't add the Video tab after I download it.
1. Download GAP Binaries here:You must be registered for see links(This download can be found onYou must be registered for see links)
Download it to any folder, preferably a downloads folder or desktop.
2. Find the gimp-gap-2.6.0-64bits.zip file you just downloaded. Right click this file and click "Extract All.." Extract it to the same location, which should be default.
3. Open the extracted gimp-gap-2.6.0-64bits folder. Open gimp-gap-2.6.0-64bits. Open plug-ins. Select all of these files. Right click them and click "Copy."
4. In another window, open your user folder. (click Start / Computer / C: / Users / *your user*.) Open .gimp-2.8. Open plug-ins. Right click in this folder and click "Paste."
Notes: This plug-ins folder is not the same folder found through Program Files. Do not right click and paste your coped files into the "lib" and "share" folders. They should be pasted under these folders, not in them.
5. Open GIMP. (Restart GIMP if it was open during GAPs installation.) In the Menu bar, between "Filters" and "Windows", check if "Video" is listed.
I used this method when I tried to install gap 2.6 and it worked.
I did all of this, but it did not work, but I noticed that the same files that i copied and pasted ended up in the lib folder anyway, even though I didn't paste them there. Should I delete them?
