I don't understand why some people are claiming that Nagato is above Hashirama.

"Oh, he can just absorb ninjutsu!" If this was a perfect technique, he obviously never would have lost (especially to NARUTO, of all people). Naruto with preparation could not take down Hashirama, which he did to Pein after some difficulties.

Seriously, Nagato is good but putting him over Hashirama is waaaaaay too much.

You're right here, but we've never actually seen a healthy Nagato. It's all speculation. Based off FEATS we've seen, and hype (because there is truth in hype), Hashirama would poop on Nagato. If Nagato was truly as strong as you're saying, he would be compltely and utterly unstoppable, the greatest ninja of all time.

We saw a healthy Nagato that would be the same one who manhandled Naruto and Bee without edo regeneration, which was possible in his life time if he absorbed some of the bijuu chakra. Based of Feats Hashirama gets crushed by a chibaku tensei, I don't see him blocking a combination of soul dragon from mazo and bansho tennin to restrict his movements, I don't see him tanking shinra tensei either.
