[Discussion] Orochimaru and the Leaf!

So, what do you think is the real reason why Orochimaru attacked the Leaf?

1. Could it be because he's just really insane? (Sasuke doesn't believe when he said this)
2. Is it revenge? (Back story)
3. Is it for power? (Yeah, he got Sasuke during the attack)

Orochimaru seems half-satisfied right now. Why give the hokages freedom to go to the war after they talk to Sasuke (still depends)? What could be his goal? What is it with him and the Leaf? Maybe there will be a back story of him, then. We still got a long way to go.

I noticed that too and I think it's important to learn why he truly attacked the Hidden Leaf. I believe we will find out about 3 or 4 chapters down the road. I think Orochimaru will be one of the last characters to be completely revealed. He's always been shrouded in mystery.

Yeah, yeah. Now that he got so much power (except Sasuke's body), the question is, what could be next after this? He has the idea of letting the Hokages go afterwards. Orochimaru is a mystery.

I always thought it was because of revenge. I'm pretty excited that it wasn't the reason, this gives Orochimaru-sama even more depth as a character.

If I remember correctly Jiraiya (or was it Hiruzen) had mentioned that Orochimaru blamed the Leaf for what happened to his parents... I can't remember now and I definitely can't remember if that was from the manga or the anime.

Well he was initially trying to find a way to bring back his parents. My initial theory on Oro is that he's an uchiha who had his eyes replaced as a child so he'd never get the mangekyo sharingan. All of the dominant trios of the leaf have a definite hokage groomed character, and an uchiha. Oro not only had to find his own power, he found he was capable of learning a lot more than the average high level ninja. Oro and Madara knew each other, I don't find that mere coincidence nor do I find it a coincidence that Works parents and tsunade and jaraiya's parents are never mentioned. They are all connected. I also think Jaraiya and Kakashi are related.

ive already stated this long ago numerous times....in my head...lol..
Orochimaru liked Jiraiya/Tsunade......But his parents DIED...Hiruzen became closest to a Father figure...
Orochimaru always got praised by Hiruzen......He felt over pressured to be the best(GENIUS/PERFECT)
Oro's ideas about life were shaped to what's the point of living/fighting/of life if your going to die anyway...
He never really felt like a genius/or strong when successfully completing a mission...
He constantly witnessed his friends losing loved ones and dying(like he did lose family)
Tsunade lost Nawaki/Dan...(Oro saw Tsu frantically trying to revive Dan,..but to no avail..)
it was useless to try to keep someone from dying / bringing them back to life.......
Tsunade was sooo sad about death...to Oro it was just an inevitable part of life....no need to be sad....
He hated the Leaf's way of dying happily instead of doing all you can even if it means breaking the rules to survive...
Tsunade's ancestors (1st & 2nd) died protecting the village that now praises their sacrifices...
but they arent there to enjoy it(honor) Jiraiya's parents are still alive at that point(he doesnt understand Oro's pain)...
Oro is having inner turmoil about Hiruzen wanting him to follow in his footsteps
and carry on the WILL OF FIRE...like the already dead Hokage...(and Hiruzen's father Sasuke Sarutobi)
Oro didnt want to die clinging to life like the others...A True Genius doesnt do that...
A Perfect Shinobi sees through the cycle of life/death and breaks out of it...
Hiruzen showed Oro the beautiful SNAKE summon MANDA and taught him about bonding with HIM
and how beautiful life was.... Oro couldnt understand it as a child and still couldnt grasp it as an adult...
The inevitable horrors of war..People cant learn to live in peace...someone will eventually seek revenge
for a fallen comrade...Oro discovers the secrets of the Leaf's Forbidden Jutsu
and what made the 1st and 2nd so great,Legendary!!
He wanted to feel THAT power, he wanted to be a PERFECT being!!
and in order to do that, you have to surpass EVERYONE ahead of you...
that means NOONE can get in your way..noone...not even your MASTER...
Oro/Jir/Tsu fight hard in war defeating their foes....Until they reach Hanzo..!!!!!
They dont defeat him and he lets them live..(or they fought too well to be defeated)
the battle waged on and they earned the respect and honor of Hanzo..
He named them the HIDDEN LEAF'S 3 LEGENDARY SANNIN!!!!!!!
Oro was happy to be alive but ashamed that those 3 couldnt defeat ONE guy after all the praise they get in the Leaf...He wanted that level of power. He wanted unstoppable jutsu...He didnt want to worry about dying anymore...
He wanted to be a GOD...and what better way to be a GOD than to grasp
THE GOD OF SHINOBI's jutsu...you know the rest
He wanted to punish the leaf for not understanding hsi way of thinking
and blaming them for making him that way...

Its for like he says, revenge . His parents died as leaf ninja and then he wishes to bring back them back but then he is exiled outta the village

Enemy of my enemy is my friend....Oro stated that Madara is trying to destroy the ninja world so why not let the Hokages stop him. Whatever his plan, he needs Madara gone in order for his plan to begin.Notice that he was afraid of Hashirama's ability to break free of his control... There's deff. an alternative plan.

Kishi still needs to clarify this up. The whole story why he wanted revenge in the first place.

You got a wild theory right there! Not bad. But I hope that everything stays the same where Orochimaru is a non-Uchiha and belongs to a clan that we do not know.

Not to mention it would be very difficult to explain why a good guy experimented on living humans let alone children.... Unit 731 absolved -_- they were too good people.
