For there to be peace, there needs to be an external force in the world. I know it sounds weird but this is how many alliances start. But there will always be war in the world. No matter how pathetic the reason war will break out. As long as we have selfish dictators and leaders who dive straight into war immediately there will always be conflict. Like Nagato and Obito have quoted, True peace can only come from understanding each other's pain. By understanding each other's pain people will relate to each other and will long forget the spoils and horrors war has brought upon the world. Of course there will be short spells of war afterwards, but there will be peace nonetheless

First of all, I would argue that not everyone wants peace. Many people want their nation to be at war and fighting (although not fighting themselves). Complete 100% peace may not be possible but I believe we can get close enough and minimize suffering. It doesn't not need to be nearly as high as it is. And we need dedicated people who may have grown up in privilege to help those less privileged who would have otherwise turned towards bitterness and resentment. I like being an optimist, more of us need to be if we want widespread peace .

I'm dead serious and if you can't accept that you are an idiot. Look around your room. Most of the stuff in there has probably benefited from war in some way. For instance your television. They used to use them to remotely fly bombers in WWII. Ever eat M&Ms? Marines wanted a candy that wouldn't melt in their hands while they were in the Pacific Islands. Video games? Please they take strategy and data collected from them to help form battle plans. They even have online contests to see who can come up with the best battle plan for a mission. The navy used this for a solution to deal with Somali pirates. Radios, cars, computers, everything has benefitted from war. I don't care about the touchy feeling crap people like to spout off about people dying and pain and suffering. People die. Its a question of where and when. Is it sad? Yes. But you can't deny the benefits.

Okayy, so on one hand, we have millions of lives, and on the other, we have TV's, Video Games, Radios, Computers, Cars, and M&M

and this justifies people having terrible lifes? have u ever been in a country where there is war? have you ever seen a child 3 years old whos family was slaughtered in front of his eyes while he himself was taken a slasve and being abused his whole life? war has made many things progress thats for sure. however we live in a "modern" age now. how can we call ourselvves modern if there are still places where people live like in the medieval ages? we have the oportunity and potential to free our worl from all this avoidable suffering. it IS within mans nature thats sure( thats why i said there are very very few ways to obtain true peace) however standing out of this "curse" would be one big step to show that the human race is more then just animalistic creatures led by instincs.... besides i am willing to get rid of all the luxury i have if i could change the world by doing so. if by giving up my freedom and my character peace could be achieved i woul gladly do so...its only fair.
