Really hoping this thread is successful, took me forever to make.
Shadow the hedgehog and Tobi are a lot alike.
In this thread ill be looking at and comparing the similarities between SEGA's Black blue, Shadow the Hedgehog, and his human counterpart, Shonen Jump's Tobi Uchiha.
Both had love interests.
Tobi had Rin, Shadow had Maria.
Both of their love interests were killed by organization of people.
Rin was killed more or less because of the situation they were in... Surrounded by the blood mist village. And even though they didnt exactly kill her, they still played a very heavy role in her death.
Maria on the other hand was murdered aboard the Space Colony Arc when her and Shadow were trying to escape from the G.U.N. defense unit. She was shot in the head.
Both were forced to sit there and watch their loved ones die, and they couldn't do anything about it.
Tobi arrived too late and was forced to watch her breathe her last breaths.
And as for Shadow, Maria commuted suicide by shoving him into a space capsule and sending him to earth. She used the last and only capsule on him, while the soldiers busted through the door and killed her. Shadow, from inside the capsule was forced to watch and couldn't do anything about it while he was blasted down to earth.
Both had their lives altered and turned against the human race after this.
Tobi began to see the world for what it really was and labeled all shinobi as trash. Shadow misinterpreted Maria's last words, "Give them a chance... To be happy" and decided to take revenge on the whole planet.
Both planned an extermination of the race.
Tobi wants to use a genjutsu to fool everyone into a perfect world, Shadow wanted to blow up the earth with a space canon.
Both were held incapacitated until their revival.
Tobi was sent to a hellish place until recovered by Madara, Shadow was held at the G.U.N. Base until recovered by Eggman.
Both had accomplices in their schemes.
Tobi has Madara, Shadow has Eggman. Strangely enough, neither of them exactly 'like' their partners either.
Of course, both have character foils trying to stop their plot as well.
Tobi has the orange ninja, Shadow has the blue blur.
Both have teleportation abilities.
Tobi has Kamui, used for both offense and defense. Shadow has Chaos Control, used for the same thing.
Both are experienced combat fighters. Minor, but still true.
Following this line of similarities, I will make a prediction. At the end of Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic talked Shadow into partnering up with him so they could save the world. At this, Shadow used the last of his power to sacrifice himself and stop the source of all power, the Biolizard.
Likewise, I will predict that Tobi will be talked into siding with Naruto, and somehow die by the end of this arc.
