Which of these 3 "farewell" songs, per say, is better? In their own ways, each one of the songs shows someone saying goodbye to another, in some form. They are all great, wonderful, and beautiful songs. But which one do you prefer? Have fun!

So look them up When I Was Your Man is by Bruno Mars, and Pretty Wings is by Maxwell. Both of them are quite nice.

I too voted I Will Always Love You. Whitney Houston in particular KILLS that song. I mean, she really went to town. I know of only a few songs sung with more... more heart.

Yeah, it certainly is. However, I personally prefer Fortunate. Those 2 are my favorite by Maxwell, Fortunate being one of my faves of music in general.
I too like It Will Rain. To be honest, I like a bunch of Bruno Mars. Grenade for whatever reason sticks well with me though. But to be honest, I love almost all of his. Locked Out Of Heaven is pretty nice too, lol.

An interesting idea is also to compare the songs lyrically-
I Will Always Love You: I'm not the one for you, but I wish you well and will always love you.
When I Was Your Man: When we were together, I messed up; hopefully this guy will do the things I didn't.
Pretty Wings: You wronged me and I wronged you, and I'm letting you go to love without you.

Lyrically, I think I listed them best to worst. But as far as how good the song sounds, it'd be PW, IWALY, WIWYM. Maxwell is just a great singer.
