Nanu: Yeah Ryu, she wants to hear me -she sticks her tongue out- well, we were all sitting around the campfire, just like we are right now... and a big red dragon came out of the mountain, and swooped down taking a few villagers.. So, a group went up but never returned.. One of them was the previous village elder who Ryu looked up to as a dad.. So, he went up there bearing the warpaint of our people and found the bodies of the ones who came to fight off the dragon.. Ryu went up to the dragon and beat it.. Thus gaining the name Ryu, meaning dragon, and his last name is dragon heart.. But later, Ryu left the village for some reason..

Elder: That reminds me... We told you we would have a ceremony when you returned..
