Most Mysterious Yet Very Underrated: Shisui Uchiha

Decided to make a thread about Shisui Uchiha, as I find his character most intriguing. Hope you guys enjoy.​

"Shisui of the Body Flicker"

Shisui is the most unknown referenced character in the manga. Much is not known about Shisui, but he is very often praised by many characters.

Among the likes of Madara and Itachi, Shisui is recognized as one of the most talented Uchiha. Obviously, this isn't only in reference to his most hyped up technique, Kotoamatsukami, but his overall ability as a shinobi.

Shisui, although not confirmed exactly when, awakened his Mangekyo Sharingan at a rather young age. In fact, he awakened his before Itachi. It's obvious that we do not know, to a full extent, the capabilities of Shisuis MS, but what we do know is, he possessed the most power genjutsu in the manga.

Kotoamatsukami (KA) allows the user to enter the opponents mind and manipulate them by giving them false experiences, making it seem as if they were doing things on their own free will.

In the Five Kage Summit, Danzou, who stole Shisui's eye, used KA on Mifune, in order to be elected as supreme leader over the shinobi alliance. Everybody, including Mifune, was unaware of Danzou even using KA and controlling Mifune.

KA was later used to to free Itachi from the binding of Edo Tensei. Kabuto recognized it, and said it was the only genjutsu capable of overriding Edo Tensei.

Of course every OP technique has a drawback, and in shisuis case, he has to wait 10 years before using it again.

Because of the fact Shisui possessed the most powerful genjutsu in history, his eyes were very sought after. Danzou stole one eye, and in fear of losing the other, he entrusted Itachi with it.
Even long after his death, Kabuto and Obito even tried to obtain them.

Shisui was very often referred to as "Shisui of the Body Flicker" Although we haven't seen any demonstrations involving his Body Flicker Technique, it's an innuendo that Shisui possessed very fast speed.​

Body Flicker Technique

The Body Flicker Technique is a high-speed movement technique, allowing the ninja to move short to long distances at an almost untraceable speed.

Only a few shinobi in the manga are capable of using the body flicker, one being A. This proves that along with Ka, Shisui had amazing speed feats as well.

Shino confirmed this in the manga, when he explained to Sakura what a teleportation technique (Body Flicker) is.

In conclusion, Shisui was a very powerful shinobi. Hailed as one of the most talented Uchiha, most powerful genjutsu, as well as the body flicker technique. In addition, its very plausible that Shisui possessed the fire affinity as all Uchiha do. Its extremely unfortunate that we haven't gotten to see his capabilities, considering his continuous amount of hype in the manga.

With these few feats alone, I think its safe to say Shisui Uchiha respectfully deserves a spot in a top 20 list. ​

Well the fact that he is never even mentioned. Also the fact that KA solos the majority of the naruto verse (assuming he has it active)

Well it's fact that he wasn't even the best of the Uchiha Clan when Fugaku Uchiha was leader, so he's overrated at that.

Just like Naruto is in no way the leader of the village, in fact a genin, yet the strongest in the village.

i dont think shishui had draw backs because that would mean he only used it twice and he died in 20s so i think itachi ment who ever steals the eye has to wait 10 years xd

Itachi is in top 7. one of the most powerful guy in narutoverse feared by the likes of obito and all of the akatsuki members and kakashi, orochimaru and so on so forth

I don't know, maybe. 10 years is pretty ridiculous if you ask me.

True, but we don't know under what conditions, in both cases.

It wasn't because he was incapable of stopping the coup, it was because Danzou took his eye before hand.

I meant in a sense that no one here really talks about him nor is he ever brought up in a power scale, like a top ten list for example. Not saying he belongs in a top ten list, but in, say a top 20, yes.
