Misconception: Obito has always been stronger than Itachi

Believe me,obito is itachi's worst matchup.
He could slip through any attacks without handsigns!
Itachi isn't as fastas obito,itachi can't touch him!

Obito is a fodder Uchiha, Itachi is a genius above all others, even among the Uchiha.
Itachi mastered his Sharingan and had the MS Sharingan when Obito just activated his normal Sharingan.

it was stated that izanami was created to punish izanagi users, and maybe it works against izanagi users more effectively than the normal shinobis (kabuto).

Plot no jutsu is an excuse in most cases, but OBVIOUSLY Kishi wouldn't have had Itachi kill the main antagonist. That's Naruto's job. Plus, if Itachi killed Obito early on, then there would be no war arc.
Obito only has a single one shot. Itachi had KA, Tsukiyomi, and Totsuka Blade. Yeah yeah, Amaterasu works too slowly for Itachi to get Obito with it, I admit. Though do you think the smartest guy in the series couldn't have killed a guy with average intelligence?

Itachi did plan that fight, but he wanted to make it seem as realistic as possible. Sasuke broke it with a 3T, Itachi never released the genjutu. It's just common sense that a MS specialist would break it, with minimal difficulty.

Yeah, Itachi pushed Sasuke to his limits, that was a fact. He had to test his strength, he never exactly made it a walk in the park for Sasuke though. Itachi, sick or healthy, he's still one of the most dangerous fighters in the NV.

But sasuke wouldnt turn evil because obito wouldnt warp his mind. Also dont you forget about KA? No matter how you look at it itachi's plan was to kill obito and he failed, even in an indirect confrontation itachi still loses. He even had the upper hand...you cant make excuses

Pein was given the leader role...so Obito could breathe a little easier not in Itachi's

The comparison with Minato never came into my mind, especially since i dislike this comparison to begin with. That's why i don't even try to compare these 2 anymore. Obito destroys Itachi. He is perfect for it. His intangibility makes Susanoo useless then it's kamui to the face.
