This story takes place during the time-skip.
Distinct in the darkness of the night, the radiant and gigantic humanoid stands--not on legs though because it appears only to have an upper body. In its left primary hand, Itachi's Susano'o wields the Yata Mirror, a shield which composes of all nature transformations. In the humanoid's main right hand, it holds the Sword of Totsuka, which is sheathed in a sake held by the third hand growing from its right forearm. It is an ethereal weapon with an enchanted blade capable of sealing anyone it pierces.
Jiraiya's confidence is momentarily shattered. What an extraordinary aura the Susano'o emits. Looks like I can't go and charge at him anymore...
Itachi remains calm, but he is analyzing the situation very thoroughly in his mind. Jiraiya will likely become serious now, as result of laying his eyes upon my Susano'o. To prolong my life, I too must hold not even a fraction of my strength back...
As Itachi sets his sight upon Jiraiya, blood begins to flow from his right eye.
Cautious of the Uchiha's formiddable genjutsu, Jiraiya still stares at the lower section of Itachi's body, so he doesn't notice what's about to happen.
Assuming that Itachi has no interest in him or his wife, Pa looks Itachi dead in the eye, so he notices the strange occurrence. "Hmm. Jiraiya-boy, the young Uchiha's right eye seem to be bleedin-"
Knowing exactly where Pa was getting at, Jiraiya abruptly sprints leftward with every ounce of strength in his legs. Itachi's right eye follows Jiraiya, though the attempt is useless due to the incredible speed that Sage Mode has given him.
A huge, sloppy, and circular ring of black flames has formed from Itachi's intent to catch Jiraiya with them. The Sannin move as couple feet inward to avoid making contact with inextinguishable fire.
"Okay! He seemed to have stopped using Amaterasu! You're fine for now." Ma informs Jiraiya.
Jiraiya stops in response, faces Itachi's direction, and immediately uses Earth Release: Swamp of the Underworld. By changing the surface beneath Itachi into mud and creating a swamp, Jiraiya attempts to sink the him into chakra-infused mud.
For the first time since the battle began, Itachi has a troubled expression on his face. Lacking the necessary amount of physical strength, Itachi fails to break free from the adhensive mud. In desperation, he launches a powered-down Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique at the ground. An explosion occurs within the Susano'o--Itachi's Akatsuki cloak was desroyed in the process--and since it happened in a tight space, the smoke becomes too dense for Itachi to be able to breathe. He negates Susano'o to get rid of the smoke; it then expands and eventually dissolves in the sky. Itachi activates his best technique once again.
Although Jiraiya is satisfied at the damage he has dealt to Itachi, he knows not to get too sure or happy when facing him. No matter what.
"Well, w-what now, Jiraiya-boy?" Pa asks, a tad bit of fear in his voice. Seeing Itachi harmed, Pa thinks that he may be angered, which would make the situation even worse.
"I applaud you," Itachi says from across the clearing. "I do not exagerrate when I tell you that you are the first person to have dealt damage to me, even if it wasn't significant. I won't allow it to happen again...." The Susano'o raises its right arm and points the Sword of Totsuka straight up in the air.
Jiraiya has a very confused look on his face. There's no way he can reach me with that sword from here. So what exactly is he doing?....
The legendary sword then slams down into the ground with immense force. The earth splits, and a thick crack rips its way towards Jiraiya. Jiraiya simply evades by leaping to the right. Unfortunately for him, that was just a diversion. Next thing Jiraiya knows, he is smacked by the Yata Mirror and is sent a few hundred yards into the deep forest. Trees shatter as his airborne body collides through them, birds escape to the sky, and the rest of the animals take refuge elsewhere.
The Toad Sage's flight is finally stopped by a durable, thick tree. Jiraiya sits against its stem, coughing up hefty amounts of blood. The broken man almost loses conciousness, but when he notices that Ma and Pa lay face-down some meters on either side of him, he slowly rises to his feet. Even though Sage Mode is no longer active, Jiraiya feels more determined now after seeing his old masters in such a condition.
Jiraiya wipes his hand over his bloody mouth and then places it on the ground. "I-Itachi Uchih-ha....let's see how threatening your Susano'o looks after this!" He shouts although Itachi is still far away in the clearing and unable to hear him. "Summoning: Boss Toad Gamabunta!"
