Skyrim. New Character.

Ok so I'm in the process of making my new character.
Its going to be mostly magic with some 1 handed thrown in there.
Im also going to be wearing robes with heavy gauntlets and boots.

High Elf:

High Elves are best with magic. Imperials are all around. Not sure about dark elves; never tried one.

I have a mage, a Breton. i chose him mostly because he can use magig and 1 handed easy and also his racial abilites that protects him 25% fro magic and anpther 50% with his special power, dragonskin. But the other choice would be altmer if you want a pure mage.

Do dark elves still have a natural resistance to fire? Because that´s handy and their appearence is, IMO, better than the other two you mentioned.

Unfortunately choosing races isn´t that big of a deal when compared to Morrowind.

Had to Choose High Elf and let me tell you, Im am so glad I Chose this race!! Im having such a good time.

lol, I once tried to make a sasuke character by maxing out his illusion/genjutsu and only using fire and lightning spells, lol that was fun

Pure Illusion mages are best played with High Elves.

Battlemages are best played with Bretons.
