Sasuke has made some bad choices which is kinda the point, it's just resulted in him killing a bunch of my favourite characters and treating people like **** for no reason...

I don't want to see him redeemed because then that just puts him on the same level as Naruto but I would like to see him try something alternative than evil grr so f*cking angry at everyone always Kakashi grr I hate you too for some newly found reason. Sakura? sure, i'll kill you too. He just got played and polluted by Tobi so badly it's not even funny.

Sasuke is the coolest when he isn't being a broody douche. The chunnin exams and the Killer Bee fight, more of that please.

True.. It gave me a little insight on Sasuke.

Still, he had Naruto by his side, and Naruto constantly tried to do the right thing. He tried to wake him up from being consumed by evil. Gaara as well.

Blinded by agony and anger, I don't blame him.. but c'mon, he had Sakura, Ino, Naruto and Kakashi that cared deeply for him, and now he wants to kill them? Because they r from the Leaf? -__-

Where is his sense of friendship? He seem to be able to make friends with Jugo and Suigetsu, but not with Naruto, who he knew his whole life, the guy that did nothing wrong by him.

If you think it was hard on Sasuke consider it for Itachi, Naruto or Gara...
either of them had no one who cared but for Sasuke he had itachi, naruto, kakashi, his fangirls but he wanted to deal with through with revenge and went with his choice....:)

Naruto dealt with same rather he suffered same pain plus he all alone from beginning treated as dirt and neglected but he choose right path and he himself is trying to save Sasuke just like he saved Gara ....

So the pain or suffering does not make Sasuke special enough to go out and kill anyone whenever he want .... more importantly the people's who protected him no matter what and who are still trying to......

don't blame yourself. Its Kishi's doing.
Also just watching the dead people in front of you and the murderer brother infront of you is not much painful than suffering the hate and ignorance from the millions of people around you everyday and struggling for acceptance. Handling that is far bigger a job than just saying "I don't want to live. Kill me someone" after watching a non uchiha having the Sharingan (during Zabuza arc)
Even if he didn't had the parents or siblings after the massacre, he was still known as the scholar. People never hated him. What he did? he turned his back to those who acknowledged them. He could have taken revenge against the Uchihas by living in the village.

No. Sasuke's reaction after Itachi's death was stupid. He failed hard with that and it's from that moment I dislike this character.

No, nothing excuses murder and that is what Sasuke has sunk to, he is nothing more then a murderer.

who has sasuke killed who didnt deserve it or try to kill him back?? danzo deserved to die no question... deidara deserved to die itachi looked like he deserved to die not untill after the fight was he considered innocent the samurai??? they all attacked sasuke after he warned them that he would not show mercy if they did.. karin was the worst thing sasuke has done and he did not kill her.. it was morally wrong but in the world of ninja alot worse has happened kisame killed all the people in his squad who were comrades to save info kakashi killed rin!! no one thinks thats bad though? and if konoaha would have given sasuke a mission to kill danzo at all costs then that would have been appropriate since thats essentially what they told itachi? sasuke told karin dont move to avoid striking her vital spots he left her alive when he could have easily done this insuring the death of danzo right then and there but sasukes humanity remains at the beginging of shippuden he would kill no one hes angry now but he still hasnt done anything unforgivable

^^Pretty much this. Nothing can excuse how ****ed up he was during the Kage Summit arc. He had completely succumbed to his hatred. I kinda lost all hope for him once he tried to sacrifice Karin to kill a guy who was already practically dead

Not a matter of "excuses", but I think an insanity plea could be entered under the circumstances, especially considering the tragic background combined with a genetic trigger, that causes mental health deterioration nearly 100% of the times.

I am no Sasuke's fan (my favorite character has always been Naruto), but fair is fair. Sasuke is without a doubt the most complex and interesting character of the story. While he did bad things, he only killed either villains or in self defense (samurai), so far. He has been such a remarkable failure in killing good guys (Naruto, Sakura, Karin, Killer Bee, Kakashi, etc.) that one has to wonder if he really did want to kill them. If anything, the Karin episode signified it. He stabbed through her after ensuring it would not be fatal (or why would he tell her not to move?), then as soon as Sakura showed up, tried to push the unpleasant task on her.

A more interesting question is what was different about Shisui and Itachi that allowed them to overcome, or suppress the darkness (certainly there was a lot of darkness in Itachi, but it did not overpower him), and my guess is that it was again the power of love - having something you wish to protect at all costs. Both Obito and Madara became truly evil only after they lost that special person in situations perceived as betrayal by their comrades - Rin by Kakashi, and Izuna's sacrifice disdained by the Uchiha - respectively. I think Sasuke hasn't gone all bad because he still have that special bond with Itachi and Naruto, and has not lost it through betrayal. Both Itachi and Naruto declared they will be there for him no matter what - and willing to back it up with words. I think that's what is keeping him sane.

Imagine if your mother was killed, then multiply that pain by the amount of Sasuke's loved ones that died (we don't know how many friends he had, relatives, etc.), then take into account that he has the Uchiha genes which makes them love each other more, then take into account that it was his BROTHER that murdered his loved ones, then take into account that he killed his brother with his own hands (who he later found out was innocent), then take into account that the ones responsible for this was his beloved village.

I'm not supporting Sasuke murdering innocent people, but it's really no surprise he is doing what he is doing. Look at Obito and Madara, the Uchiha gene is so powerful that they want to destroy the world because their crush/brother died. They only lost one loved one each, compare that too how much Sasuke lost.

Just in case people say "But Madara and Obito were Uchiha as well, so they would have been saddened when the Uchiha were wiped out!". That is excusing the fact that Madara hates the Uchiha for abandoning him, and that Obito cared so little for his clan that he would even help Itachi wipe them all out. It seems like Obito and Madara are doing a lot worse than Sasuke for a lot less, but I guess the difference is that Obito/Madara are doing what they think is right, while Sasuke is doing what he knows is wrong.
Well you think Gaara would be the one to snap him out of his fetish with darkness seeing how they both walked down the same path.

^ Sadly, it isn't the case. Also, Naruto was equally traumatized with loneliness, but he used his friends to fill in the void. Sasuke should of done the same thing.

They did not have the genetic triggers that Sasuke did, nor had to witness the trauma of having your entire family murdered in front of you by your most beloved brother.

And don't forget that Sasuke underwent severe mental torture by his brother - being forced to relive the murder scene over and over for 24 hours - and had to deal with the curse mark evil affecting him as well - how many would remain sane after that?

I think you nailed it, and I totally agree. There is definitely some good left in Sasuke. This can be seen clearly when you watch the anime. Emotions are harder to see when you just read the manga. In the anime, the fight against Killer Bee for example, you could clearly see that Sasuke really cared about his team (Juugo, Karin & Suigetsu) and did everything to protect them.
