the argument in bold doesnt even work if you look at the full context and dont pick and choose words.

he says "only hashirama could ever stop me". next he says "and he is no longer with us". first he brings up the fact that only hashirama was able to stop him and that he was no longer there(it basically means that only hashirama can stop him and that he is no longer there to do so).

second, madaras full power comes from his ems so it doesnt matter regardless.
