I mean iam tired of hearing how madara is evil and but the sage started the war between the two brothers I mean he's a sage right and sages are considers a being full wisdom but how come he was dumb enough to ask that stupid question when he knows is bound to start trouble in the future

no he had no idea his son would overeact. also hashirama inadvertantly started the 1st ninja war by seperating the bijuu among villages and only considering leaf,cloud,mist,sand, and stone villages as official ninja villages this surely pissed off any other minor ninja village.
