Technically once a ninja unlocks Mangekyou Sharingan they can maybe try it out once and then trade both with someone else who has Mangekyou sharingan and then you both now have Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan. Unless I am missing something from Lord kishi's bible? _O-

Only by taking and transplanting the Mangekyō of another Uchiha — integrating the two pairs of eyes in the process — can the vision be restored, a process that results in the creation of an Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan (永遠の万華鏡写輪眼, Eien no Mangekyō Sharingan).[10] It would appear that the tighter the blood ties are between the "donor" and the "receiver", the better it is for compatibility — So okay just unlock ms with a brother or cousin/uncle/family member than switch your eyes, doesn't say you have to lose the light. Logically you would probably have to use your ms powers at least once before you switch them for the EMS to unlock.

....... It's their eyes being transplanted, only one benefits in the end. If they traded Sharingan alone they'd just end up with each other's regular Mangekyou Sharingan.

i see what you mean. one of the users shouldnt have to die, they could simply agree to "swap" eyes and both gain EMS... but for i what i remember, they need to be siblings?... maybe?
