More and more Quincy came, they were over powered. The only reasonable thing to do was to let Sonya's take Radriar to the Sotaichou since she'll be able to protect Radriar more efficiently until they get there.
Ryo: Sonya-san! I'll stay behind and take care of these Quincies! Be safe!

While holding the Quincy off Sonya and Radriar's tail she gets shot on the left side of her waist
