Im a College sophomore majoring in Journalism. I’ve been writing my own Light novel titled “Heir Dynasty” for the past 3 years, I constantly find myself confronting all writers number 1 enemy “Writers block” my professor suggest that I relax from writing and gather my thoughts and ideas, THIS NEVER WORKS, all I do is find myself relaxing for 4 months sometimes without writing a single thing. Im desperately in need of anyone with some type of fiction writing, original, fresh, ideas. Im willing to share my progress with you and collaborate and exchange ideas.

Writing is my passion. I'm also writing a novel. Man, being an aspiring writer is difficult as hell, but we've gotta keep at it.
I suggest that you don't take such long breaks because the ideas of your stories will not be fresh anymore.

Interesting offer. What is your novel about?

I've been jumping around in mine quite a bit.
As in writing diferent parts of it, it hasn't exactly come together just yet.
Haven't written anything for it in a few months. -.-'
But I have written other things since.
I guess what helps me is describing things to their fullest.
Kind of a 'King' way to do it, but it helps me out.

Ask Tite Kubo, the writer of Bleach. After he made a ****ty arc, he took a three week vacation to gather some ideas. His new arc is badass. I don't know what he did in those three weeks, maybe smoked some pot or something.

I write fanfiction so all I can suggest is whenever something sounds like a good idea, jot it down. Once you have a bunch of notes you can use them in your story.

I am able to, but I'm not right now. I think your professor means by "take a break" is take a break from what you are doing (go have fun watch movies, talk to others), gather your thoughts and ideas (write them down), and after the break, you could have a new mind-set for your new ideas. See other people's point of views, and if you like them, add it.

Lol well, many writers do seek out alchool and/or drugs in order to escape reality because our minds work differently than others. Though I highly suggest finding a better solution to the stress we writers endure.

I'm possibly one of the worst writers on NB. You should definitely consult somebody with better grammar and spelling than myself.

But, if all else fails, you can always try asking me for help but I wont help you.

I can see me in your shoes one day very soon xd We seem to have similar interests.

I think the best way for me to get out of writer's block is to watch a movie, watch a youtube video, and read some works. I think the spark awe from someone's work will ignite my own creativity. Maybe take a long walk somewhere or go to a place you've never been. Take it all in, you know? Perhaps go to a spa or take a hot shower. Those are lesser, but still good ways to possibly get rid of the block.
