I like Sakura and do not see her with Naruto so don't assume all Sakura fans want her with Naruto. It's rude and considered bashing which is prohibited.

Just fyi, its been a hard times for kishi to amends things and to continue the storyline, he mentioned something that naruto comes from low-esteemed life, being outcast by the villagers, and hinata is like the princess of some royal family, some sort like Beauty and the Beast thing.

Yes and I also heard he had planned her as a girl working at the Ramen place, too.

Either way, it seems she was his focus for Naruto's love interest until he went another way with the story. Hopefully he keeps this pairing though.

Its like with team Hiruzen. Tsunade was rejecting Jiraiya for years, becuase she still remembered how Dans death affected her. Only shortly before Jiraiyas death she decided to open up to him, but unfortunately, it was too late.
