he went toe to toe with itachi, sure itachi didnt use all of his powers but neither did killer bee, he fought without using any of hachibi's chakra/power

Bee Didn't Even Escape From Amaterasu Sasuke Stopped It. & He's Saying With A Killing Intent 1v1 Itachi Won't Let That Fire Burn out Until He's Dead Deafintion Amateratsu = Amaterasu is said to never stop burning; even when whatever is caught by the Amaterasu is completely reduced to ash or destroyed, it can still continue burning for seven days and seven nights. It cannot be extinguished with water or any other normal methods.

But you can't ignore his feats, his techniques, and the fact
that Hiruzen (the proffesor) said Itachi had the thinking of a kage

And Itachi was just giving Killer Bee a heads up whilst he was being controlled.

Nagato wanted to be defeated. In a real fight Nagato would annihilate Itachi. His power is the closest to that of a god's in the narutoverse.

I do think Bee could beat Itachi, but only because Itachi's stamina is downright terrible.

While Bee might have the raw power of the Eight-Tailed Beast and techniques such as the Tailed Beast Bomb and his sword skills, I think he might slightly overestimate his abilities on occasion. Just slightly. Itachi, on the other hand, while maybe not the most powerful character in the series, is a very intelligent fighter. He knows the strengths and weaknesses of his techniques and the right place and time to use them. I think he is a very perceptive fighter who is able to quickly understand his opponents. Hence, while I do slightly prefer Itachi over Killer Bee, I will say that they are both highly talented fighters.
