when I come to think about it, you might be right, cause in order to use it, the Gedou had those black spikes (I think this the one that Madara left Obito and told him that is was his will) pierce his back and he never got them out, even when Naruto talked to him, they were there..

so probably the cost of using it is greater than it's worth
