Naruto & Jiraiya
Jiraiya and naruto relationship went beyond teacher and student they not only became friends, they were basically family. Jiraiya put his hopes and dreams in to Naruto becoming the Savoir, trusted him and respected him.
Jiraiya was one of the first people to actually acknowledge Naruto as a true equal, and trusted him to make bold and big decisions on his own. He trusted in Naruto's physical and inner strength to carry on his legacy, to becoming an incredible ninja.
Naruto loved jiraiya like a father figure, and respected him more than anyone else. He followed in his footsteps, not only by mastering his techniques, although he has the same principles as Jiraiya, shown when he refused to kill pain despite his anger towards him.
Naruto took everything that jiraiya said to heart, trusted him and have faith in his master to lead him on the right path to becoming a true shinobi.
There hasn't been a greater bound in the series than them two... Shown by his reaction when he found out jiraiya died. Naruto was also the last thing that went in to Jiraiya's mind as he was passing away.
