I find him very humble and happy-go-lucky despite of his position right now. This proves that you don't mess with these fun people. Can't wait to see him fight! Tobi, Naruto, Jiraiya, Suigetsu, Tsunade, Bee, and others who have the same personality comes out the opposite when it comes to fighting. I guess that seeing Hashirama being serious will make as speechless. You don't mess with these kind of people. We won't like them when they're mad. I think this is the way Kishi and other writers make a strong character less powerful. Expect the unexpected.

unfortunately the happy-go-lucky guy protagonist have been done to dust like forever

Goku,Luffy,FullMetal Edward,Natsu,Ichigo,naruto,Jman etc

but its still the standard protagonist character used by many writers in many forms of entertainment ..... and for some strange reason its still funny and doesn't bother me that much xd

I like that sort of personality. Hashirama was someone I truly didn't care about because I didn't know him. For me it was always Minato Minato Minato. After that chapter, I really like the guy. He made it to my personal liked character list. He is probably the right mix of a good and strong leader with some sense of humor. In other words, the god of shinobi is still human and a good guy. He is not much different from tsunade minus the temper lol
