Dragon Ball Z Discussion: Gohan The Main Hero?!

It was hinted that Gohan would surpass his father threw the DBZ story line up the cell saga. Gohan first display his hidden power when Raditz was torturing Goku, Gohan got angry and skull bash Raditz in the stomach. On planet Namek when Gohan sense his father was still alive, Gohan was able knock Freiza with a barrage of punch and kicks, followed by a super massenko. The Cell saga was the set up for Gohan to take over Gokus role as protector of the earth and Gohan at that point in the story did surpass his dad, Gohan reach ss2 a level that Goku could not reach at that time and were we see Gohans growth progress at it's fullest. Goku himself knew his son would surpasses him when training with Gohan in the hyberbolic Time Chamber, Goku witness his Gohan reach the level above super sayian for a brief moment.

I have heard after the cell saga Gohan was suppose to take Gokus role as the main heroine of the story, but a lot fans wanted Goku back.

Do you guys think Gohan should been the main hero after the cell saga or not? Please explain

Gohan indeed was my favorite character but it annoyed me that he never was shown pass ssj2 form. even his little brother and trunks achieve this >.>.
And much as my favorite as he was i think taking the spot light away from Goku, would be like taking the spotlight away from batman and giving it to robin, in other words it would of had been a disaster O:!

Nah, Goku was too cool to be pushed aside, but i would like that gohan kept his training and be stronger instead of going to college. And just one thing, it's hero, not heroine. And i tought Gohan ended in the same level as ssj3 goku, atleast i think akira sais something like that.

Gohan indeed was my favorite character but it annoyed me that he never was shown pass ssj2 form. even his little brother and trunks achieve this >.>.

But the writer changed his mind because he thought it would be difficult to make him the main protagonist because gohan didnt really like fighting and he wanted to go to school and become a scholar... thats why he didnt become the main character

everything in dbz could and should have been better right before
Frieza took 2 episodes to shoot Piccolo...and when they ruined characters like
F.Trunks-all the non saiyan Zfighters..
bad guys stealing peoples bodies.ugh
