Why do people even care about that loser Asuma? He was fodder level to begin with. We saw nothing of him at all till that final battle. Now all of a sudden everyone is saying "OH MA GAWD DAT DEAD WUZ SO SAYDDDDD" < im sorry, but no. All we knew about Asuma was that he's Shikamaru's teacher. That's about it. He just went and died like an idiot vs Hidan. Nothing more to say.

3 Death of those in HQ - There's nothing worse than knowing you're about to die in a matter of seconds and you couldn't do anything. But still they faced it instead, and sent their last strategy for those in the battlefield. But really, that chapter's last page... That's the saddest page in any chapter of this manga.
2 Itachi - That poking part, and when he said that there won't be next time, those got me.
1 Jiraiya - He didn't let his death to be in vain, and even in his death he considered himself to be a failure compared to his teacher and student. And in his last moments, it showed that he loves his godson Naruto.

If this thread is for the Top 10, I would put Naruto's parents' death at 6, Danzo's at 7, Kisame's at 8, Deidara's at 9 and Uchiha Clan at 10.

I would've included the moment when Edo Itachi was about to go (Chapter 590), but Edos were dead people that were brought back to life right?

Not everyone was a Jiraya fan. I did like him, but maybe I didn't feel sad because i heard it was going to happen

2)Nagato-To have sufferred as he had...and finally give his life to undo at least part of the damage he'd done. *salutes*
3)Zabuza/Haku-Sacrificing yourself for a person you care entirely about, and it being a wake-up call to that person to inspire

4)Itachi-Epic fight that had been building up for ages, and still always looking out for his brother even then. Truer Shinobi there ne'er

5)Hiruzen/Minato-Going out protecting your village, taking on some insanely overpowered adversaries, and entrusting the safety of
the village to the future generations ;-; Praying they get to do something in the war while they're back.

The odds of someone saying this is way too high, I'm surprised that Oro is in the same list as chiyo, kisame, konan and itachi. unexpected list, but nice

1- Yahiko. Literally teared up.
2- Gaara. Not really a death, but hit me hard since he's my favorite character. Made me sad.
3- Itachi. Itachi has always been one of my favorites, and they killed him off in a really emotional way.
4- Deidara. Not my one of my favorite characters, but his death was well done.
5- Kisame. Dude was eaten by sharks. Respect.

Those were the saddest! itachis death was no where near sad because it wasnt like sasuke killed him. He simply fell, NO ONE new what happened to even imply it was "sad"..
nejis death was too short and was out of no where. He simply was trolled to make naruto better.

I would say my number one death was Kisame... Like a Flippin boss! Hiruzen is my second choice, Minato was my third, Neji is fourth and Zabuza and Haku are 5th, that really got me hooked into the manga

Jiraiya:his death hit me hard cause he was the man he knew he was gonna die and to uncover the truth about pain he never ran away. so as his final words he spoke about how making a new book was gonna be awesome but then realized that naruto was the child of the Prophecy and he said the tale of naruto uzumaki has a great ring to it and after he died naruto was runfrom tree to tree and then jiraya tapped naruto in the shoulder that was freaking sad

Hiruzen Sarutobi:i wasnt going to put him up here but then i resaw the fight to see how i felt and it did get me a little cause right before he died he was looking at orochimaru and saw him as a kid and he started crying cause he realized that his favorite student became a bad guy and he had no choice but to kill him cause it was his duty as a hokage so i did get me pretty good

kakashi Hatake:to me cause he finally got to talk to his dad and tell him how he feels about him and finally understood why he choose to save his comrades and not follow orders from the village so that was pretty touching plus he did die saving his comrades so yup i put him

Neji hyuuga:do i really have to say the reason hell no i dont he was a a-hole as a kid but naruto made him realize his way was wrong and as a grown up he was awesome smart and a great ninja his death was sad cause of what he said to naruto of why he saved him and about what Hinata feels about him

I'm not an emotional person, so really half the characters that died, i didn't really feel for. But these are the deaths that had me really touched:

1.Pervy Sage.

Why: The way he died, his monologue alone. In my opinion, this is Kishi's best scene for a character's last moment. Jiraiya's whole speech about being a true ninja. Fighting his way back to finish the message, while taking the responsibility as being a teacher. Maybe i'm biased because it made me upset that Jiraya wasn't going to see Naruto as Hokage, so it brought some feels. Since he almost like a father for Naruto, so it just ached my heart alot. Also i did legitly shed a few tears watching him sink to the bottom of the ocean. But it was symbolic for his character and symbolic for him passing the story to Naruto.

2. Minato/Kushina
Why: Because knowing they died for their son, was touching. Watching the whole thing, made me want to wish the situation went another way. That Minato and Kushina made it. That they were here for Naruto right now. But their deaths were also well done, sending their goodbyes, and they did at least die together.
