Couldn't Sasuke Simply Have Gone to Meet Edo Madara

You know with the Hokages revealed as the ones who know everything I can't help but wonder exactly why Sasuke wants to meet them.
Before drawing up the conclusion that they are the ones that know it all, he was told by Jugo that edo Madara was still active; he could simply have gone to meet him to know what happened & Tobi could also have added whatever else was needed.
So I think Sasuke might also want to use the Hokages in his fight against Naruto and the Ninja alliance.
