It is true it's basics that all ninja's learn how to deal with genjutsu, in part 1 Shikamaru and Sakura released genjutsu and Naruto learned with Jiriya.

If we're talking about that finger jutsu, Naruto didn't try to commit suicide it was in the genjutsu he nearly broke out of it and he sucks at chakra control to break it.

Diedara was moments away from blowing himself up.

I see some people using Genjutsu as their sole argument, which is flawed since Minato knows to avoid eye sight.

Inb4 someone says he made eye contact with Tobi, remember that he was already actively controlling the Kyuubi via Genjutsu, so he can't put Minato into one also.

You can't base your whole entire argument on how he fight's other people. Every characters has different strength's, regardless if they all fell under genjutsu, doesn't mean to say that Minato will fall of it.

He didn't prove anything.... You can escape his genjutsu, it's not impossible.

What do you mean thanks to their abilities? Minato has great abilities. He was Hokage when the Uchiha clan were alive and kicking, i can guarantee that he knew all about them.

We're not arguing over an ordinary power. This is high level of genjutsu. I agree that Minato is a great shinobi but he does lack screen time.
Any of his fights lack genjutsu powers against him. So far Guy is the only who can prevent genjutsu of high level with his well-known strategy.
Does Minato know about this? We're talking about their first fight. Itachi can instantly grabs him and traps him in genjutsu.

What if Obito could used his Izanagi against Minato? Minato doesn't knew anything about him and he was looking him straight into the eyes.
