In this scan they clearly say suicide by drowning. How would they known if no body was discovered. They prob did something with the remains so people wouldn't grave rob him in search of his eyes. That should be enough to /thread alone. Still no convinced??

In this scan its said itachi considered Shisui to like a brother. If you are such good friends with someone you consider them your brother you would prob say they are your best friend?? Perhaps itachi's helping with the "suicide" lead to him unlocking his MS. Which it is never told how he did.

I'm pretty sure "disappeared" is referring to his body never being found, but was poorly explained/translated. People who are watching the anime might not have read or have forgotten that part of the manga.

It was definitely thorough it seems. They made sure a body was never to be found. Makes you wonder if the possibility of what Kabuto did had been feared for a long time. Imagine Shisui as an Edo.
