Actually, ninja weren't as official as people think. Most were farmers and stuff, and their weapons were tools that had either been modified or were being used as is. They probably wouldn't have a sword unless they bought or stole one. They were thieves and assassins, but I've heard that they never actually had a successful assassination (could be wrong).

dude their dress depending on what was he needed. Black or dark blue was used for night missions.White was used for winter missions .The other color used was a green kind of camouflage pattern dress for the forest
