*Aburame is meant to be Asuma*
Rock lee has just returned with the rest of his team from a simple D rank mission. fired up and ready to train some more, Lee finds that he needs to find new and unique training methods. Unfortunately his rival Uzamaki Naruto is away on very important training mission with Sakura, Choji, Yamato and Kakashi. Lee decides to challenge Tsunade to a friendly all out dual, but his request is put on hold when Tsunade goes over all the missions and has to prepare to assign the right ninja to get the job done. Might Guy was Lee's next choice but due to Guy's role as the chief of the Genin exams, Lee is once again left to find another worthy opponent. Suddenly he spots Nara Shikamaru, at the memorial of his old sensei Aburame. Lee watches as Shikamaru remembers his times with the old sensei, deciding to talk to walk over and find a way to challenge Shikamaru, Lee finally speaks.
"Aburame Sensei was truly a great Shinobi" he says
Shikamaru looks up to see Rock lee and replies.
"Yeah, its more of drag knowing he isn't here anymore"
Rock lee puts his hand on Shikamarus' shoulder.
"As his student you must always honor his name and good will... And I for one would be honored to challenge a most splendid student of his"
Shikamaru brushes Lee's hand from his shoulder and begins to walk away.
"I'm not in the mood for a fight"
Rock Lee is almost tempted to walk away but then decides to use emotions to leverage Shikamaru into a fight. As shikamaru grows further apart, Lee suddenly speaks.
"For a man of great strength and honor, it's a shame to see Aburame sensei trained such a coward."
Shikamaru is not at all intimidated by what lee has said and continues to walk away, Then Lee says something that eats away at Shikamrus' guilt.
"Maybe if you were not such a coward, you could have saved him...."
Shikamaru pauses, clinching his fist and grinding his teeth, he begins to speak.
"What did you just say..."
Rock lee smirks,
"Surely it was you cowardice that caused you beloved sensei to meet his end."
Shikamaru gives a short menacing laugh, Looking to the sky, he sees the sun and begins to plan his attack. Rock lee is ready now, more than ever to finally face Shikamaru nara. In one fluid motion, Nara turns and tosses three shuriken towards lee.
Lee successfully dodges the attack and begins to run towards Shikamaru. As he gains more speed, he jumps and cries.
"Leaf hurricane!"
Shikamaru backflips three times, dodging the attack, And then reaches into his back pocket...Grabbing two explosive kunai. throwing them to the ground directly in front of him he waits for Lees next attack. By this time Shikamaru has already completed his substitution jutsu, When lees closes in to the Sub, Shikamaru waits in a near by tree, As lee hits the substition with his lion combo after a quick transfer behind the sub, dodging the kunai on the ground.
The Substitution wares off, suprising lee, and forcing him to push himself from the log used in the jutsu. Lee hits the ground and searchs for Nara. Nara then releases the explosive kunai, which are at least twenty feet to the left of lee, Knowing this was not a good range, but instead a sucessful distraction.
as Lee turns to the explosion, Shikamaru tosses three parachuted kunai in the air , out of the view of Lee, Jumping from the tree he begins think of a way to push lee in on of the kunais shadow. Nara then uses his shadow to expand to the two kunai on the east and south of lee. the other kunai had float over towards lee. giving nara the edge to extending his shadow and capture lee, However by this time, Lee has turned and spotted nara and the shadow of the two kunai his shadow has extended to. Throwing two shuriken in the direction of the kunai, Lee disrupts the extended shadow and heads towards Shikamaru. Lee jumps in the air and begins to undo his hand wraps. Shikamaru notices that lees shadow is being cast in a close enough range to freeze him in place...As lee shoots his wrap towards Nara, Nara extends his shadow towards lee. Both are within inches of their goal. By one a few seconds lee manages to wrap on of shikamarus hand, pulling him closer and breaking the shadow again for a second time. When Nara is within range, Lee knees him in the face, and sends him to the ground, Finishing the move with a heel to the chest. Nara is stunned
and lee jumps backwards to declare his victory. While Lee is celebrating he unknowingly has just come within the range of the Kunai shadow he never noticed. As shikamaru regains his compusre he finally extends his shadow to the kunai and captures lee. Lee is unable to break the jutsu, as Nara begins his neck bind justu, Lee struggles to break the jutsu...Shikamaru can feel the strength of lee break the jutsu and decides to go for the shadow stitching jutsu, As the shadows are about to pierce lee, Everything halts, as Lees strength begins to break the effects of the shadow...Nara's chakra begins to drain because of the hold on lee....
