Gaining thr Rinnegan

Madara has proven that it is possible for an Uchiha to gain the rinnegan by inplanting Hashirama's cell into himself, transforming his EMS into the rinnegan in his old age. Madara said it took years for his eye to transform, which explains why Obito hasn't awakened the rinnegan, even though he's had Hashirama's DNA inside of him for around 20 years.

Hashirama's cells may also explain why Obito hasn't gone blind even thought he only has the MS.

Anyway, what I've been curious about is; if it is only Hashirama's DNA that can make a Uchiha awaken the rinnegan. It hasn't been stated anywhere in the manga that a Uchiha has to obtain the cells of a specific person from the senju clan, who has the mokuton ability. The Uchiha have always been considered as 'yin' while the Senju have been considered 'yang'. The uzumaki could also be considered 'yang' as they are related to the Senju clan. The sage of six paths is both yin and yang combined.

If madara is yin and Hashirama is yang, combining them would create a new sage of six paths. Madara has done this in a similar way by taking Hashirama's 'yang' DNA and inplanting it into him self, giving him the sage's eyes. The only problem I see with this is that Madara still doesn't have the sage's body, and no matter how much DNA he stole from hashirama won't change that.

What I've been trying to say is; would Sasuke gain the rinnegan if he used Naruto's DNA. Please also consider that Naruto is also related to the sage of six paths and it has been hinted many times that he inherited the sage's body.

It also makes me wonder if Naruto could awaken the rinnegan if he had the sharingan? (though the chances a probably slim)

He didn't inherit the full body of the Sage.. but he still has sage's part body. But yea Naruto or Sasuke could awaken the rinnegan if they switched dnas.

Naruto most likely cannot aquire the Rinnegan because he lacks all that comes before... Sharingan, Mangekyo, Eternal Mangekyo. It was stated that it's an extension of the Eternal Mangekyo. Hashirama has become irrelivant dont you think? Everyone is walking around with his DNA, im surprised this hasnt become old news by now.

He isn't blind yet cause he has senju dna not because he doesn't use those tech.All MS dojutsu tech. make you go blind.

He doesn't have a brother to swap eyes to awaken EMS.

Well, it's possible that he might gain the Rinnegan. I personally don't like it though xd However, he could definitely pull it off, maybe with the DNA of Karin, Naruto, or maybe even that last Zetsu ?

What I am about to say is brilliant. If anyone wants to use it please shout me out because this might be ground breaking.

Personally I think even after acquiring the Rinnegan Madara STILL couldnt use any of its abilities as he does not have the yang chakra of the senju blood line. I think him implanting the Rinnegan into Nagato, who is an uzimaki, has alot to do with him unlocking the full powers of the rinnegan. Think about how much of a coincedence that is? The uzimaki village was destroyed with its villagers being targeted and yet Nagato who is one of the FEW surviving uzimaki, who are also decendants of the SO6P and possess the yang chakra, just HAPPENS to be the one that madara gives the his rinnegan to? As a matter of fact WHY did madara have to give his eyes to anyone? Doesnt it seem very strange that he would give his most prized possesion to some kid that lived in one of the deadliest villages in the fire nation? He did it because he had no choice, he had some senju DNA which allowed him to unlock the rinnegan, but only a true senju can master the rinnegan. And much like shishuis sharingan, once unlocked the eye can be transferred from person to person.
