Well since Minato is in konoha i'd think that Hiruzen would have alot of knowledge about ftg and would be better able to prepare for it. Also he was said to be the strongest kage EVER in his prime. Thats not hype thats kishi stating that. I just think hiruzen would be able to defeat minato
Depends, if they made the stone spike directly under you and you tried to make the pillar directly under yourself then no, basically if you formed the pillar from earth they are not currently using for the stone spikes then you are fine.

Kishi states a lot of things though, he never had the whole story planned out, i mean Hiruzen in his prime may have been incredibly powerful but your forgetting one very important thing, if that was really true, and Hiruzen in his prime was that strong, and Edo Tensei brings somebody back at the height of there power in life, why is he still old?

Oh it takes chakra for normal people since it took FOUR people that werent minato to use that technique, for some reason it doesnt affect minato as much. One person i can never see minato beating (perhaps due to my fanboyism)
Minato is likely a distant relation to the Senju, he looks a lot like Tobirama after all, I think Itachi vs Minato would be one hell of a fight, Minato has the upperhand for me just based on knowledge, all Hokage gained access to information on the villages inhabitants, it's highly likely he knew a bit about the Sharingan and Mangekyou Sharingan, but unfortunately it's just one of those mysteries, they will never fight. xd
I dont think minato knows all that much about the sharingan, when he fought Obito he broke the number one rule by looking him straight in his eyes. I also think that Minato is somehow related to tobirama lol. Maybe they'll reveal that in the upcoming chapters now that they're all together. The possibilities are endless for what comes next
I strongly believe Minato had some form of Genjutsu defence, otherwise Obito would have surely tried his luck, but it's tough to say, Genjutsu in the series seemed strongly based on willpower, a lot of random things did, Sasuke broke a fuuinjutsu trap by getting mad i found that rather silly. xd
Sasuke's tsukiyomi is indeed weak. I think that for most people if you can just figure out that its a genjutsu then they can break out of it but Itachi's genjutsus seem to be on a higher level than that. Idk about the obito thing. Not all uchihas (like sasuke) have an affinity for genjutsu. In sasukes case the only genjutsu he has shown is tsukiyomi and thats after getting the ms. So its possible obito is in the same boat. For me Itachi has too many ohko's and is too smart for Minato to get the upper hand the way he usually does (which is his brains and reaction) Minato's not known for knock out shots he uses his brain and reaction to get a quick kill and Itachi matches both of them with his sharingan and his own intellect.
Itachi definetly has speed and with his sharingan i wouldnt call speed his weakness. Also the stamina thing is a myth. Itachi preserved his ms for like 6 years before finally losing his eyesight while Sasuke had his for like 6 days lol. Im not sure but i think something else went in to Mifune knowing about KA taht tipped him off. I cant remember what though

Lol i disagree with the counter, because think about it for a second, the spikes are quite a fast technique, and it's rising under you, by the time you know that it is under you and use a pillar that will rise and has the same speed as the spikes to launch you away from the spikes, the spikes are risen first, so it will land a hit first, if you have a Doujutsu to know that the technique is coming before it happens giving you more reaction timing it would be fine, though a bit iffy lol
